Title: Bally 6000 Sound
Post by: jdkmunch on April 26, 2009, 10:14:06 PM
I have a dumb question and I apologize in advance.    How do you change the volume on a 6000 that has a sound card?  I tried the pot and it doesn't do anything.

My wife just made me stop playing because the sound was too loud.

LOL. Been there, done that (although on a 5500). :25-

There should be a volume knob on the sound card. It should be a white plastic shaft that is parallel with the pcb, as opposed to pointing up.

I found it... I'm surprised it's the only way to adjust the sound.  It is not that easy to get to.  I think I'll have to remove the first reel to get to it.   I would love to have it easier to get at.  When wife tells me to turn it down ...... just adjust!

I'd like to make a small modification to my new 6000 machine by installing
a small external volume control knob and a headphone jack...lol
