Title: double diamond haywire Post by: mbrower66 on February 18, 2014, 09:54:43 PM Hello everyone,I have a double diamond haywire that is set at 96 percent payback,5 dollar denomination. Is it normal for this particular theme to play terribly? As in spend a thousand dollars to maybe hit single bars.I've had it set at 98 percent before and it wasn't really any better.Should I just put a different kit in it? Thanks for any suggestions.
Title: Re: double diamond haywire Post by: CVslots on February 18, 2014, 11:03:39 PM With it being a $5 game, $1000 is 200 credits. Say it's a 2 coin game, so you get 50 pulls. While I admit, I would expect more for my 50 pulls, I would run another 500-600 credits through it before I changed it out.
On a side note, if you ever want to sell or trade that kit, let me know and we can try and work something out. Title: Re: double diamond haywire Post by: mbrower66 on February 18, 2014, 11:15:51 PM I have ran thousands through it,it plays terrible compared to my triple diamond haywire and my 5 times pay wild.I will definitely keep your offer in mind, thank you.
Title: Re: double diamond haywire Post by: mbrower66 on February 18, 2014, 11:18:07 PM I should add,it seemed to play pretty good at 96 percent while at 25 cents.I just wanted the bigger wins.
Title: Re: double diamond haywire Post by: cowboygames on February 18, 2014, 11:35:46 PM The machine will run hot and cold, sometimes for extended periods either way. Keep in mind that the 96% or 98% or whatever payback percentyou select is based on the life of the game. It could pay 0% for weeks and make up the payback in a few days. Not likely, but possible. Denomination has no bearing because everything is based on percentages. Also, the multipliers available and the size of the highest jackpot play into volatility. The higher the multipliers can raise a win and the higher the jackpot amount generally will lower the overall volatility of the game

Title: Re: double diamond haywire Post by: CVslots on February 19, 2014, 12:47:37 AM Yah, the machine doesn't care if its a 1cent machine or $100/pull....percentage is all its based on. I think it's 96% (or whatever percentage you are at) out of 1,000,000 or 10,000,000 pulls. Keep playing! Some games just appeal to people more than others. Like I live a 5 line game. Do they pay? No, not really, as payouts are fewer, but smaller. Since they pay smaller, more frequent wins, it tends to keep me more entertained than one win every 8-10 pulls )(like a single line game does).
Title: Re: double diamond haywire Post by: Foster on February 23, 2014, 02:28:37 PM Slot machine works off a Random Number Generator and the RNG does nothing but generate numbers over 1000 times a second and when you place a bet the last number generated is used to determine the outcome of the game you are about to play. The RNG code does not care about denomination or prior outcomes, or if the machine has paid out more or less than it has taken in. This required under gaming laws, rules and standards.
The Payback percentage listed for a pay table is based on millions of plays. Just like a die does not remember what the last number rolled on the next roll. That is why you may or may not hit a big payout after someone gets up from a machine and you walk up and play but it seems to happen, its all in timing down to a millisecond and you do not know what number the RNG has generated at anytime. Title: Re: double diamond haywire Post by: jay on February 23, 2014, 06:38:19 PM There is one S+ machine sitting in the MGM - now over 20 years old. Has over a 2mm progressive, it has never hit.
Title: Re: double diamond haywire Post by: Foster on February 24, 2014, 12:58:01 AM I suspect the MGM S+ machine has more than the usual 72 virtual stops per reel.
