Title: SYstem EProm ID Post by: dcslots on April 27, 2009, 02:08:47 PM I recently was given a number of S2000 Boards with software installed. The person who gave them to me had no idea what the games on them were.
In an ordinary case, I would just look up the eprom numbers and do a cross reference. Only problem is, there is so much tamper proff tape on the dang things, I can not read the numbers, and when I try to pull off the tape, no matter how careful I am, I am also ripping off part of the orginal labels and the number. As I recall, there was a system option on the S+ that displayed the eprom numbers, so that once you put the board in, you could negotiate the system menus and then it would pull up/display the 4 digit game chip number or base chip number. My question...does the S2000 permit this, and if so, how the heck do I get to it? Please be detailed in your response, as I am NOT an S2000 expert.
