Title: Wild Thing lighting on blanks??? Post by: Yoeddy1 on March 02, 2014, 05:37:16 PM Take a look at Jim's video below. If memory serves, I thought there was an issue reported years ago that blanks would make a sound and light up, and that later this was corrected with an updated chip or something...maybe I'm wrong. Is this behavior normal for Wild Thing? When a BAR/cherry/multiplier hits on the line, this would be considered normal lighting up and making a sound, but it seems strange that a blank would do the same thing. What's even more strange is that blanks sometimes light and other times they don't.
Thoughts? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftIyETEZ6AQ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftIyETEZ6AQ) Thanks, Jason Title: Re: Wild Thing lighting on blanks??? Post by: cowboygames on March 02, 2014, 06:15:37 PM Jason, I think it was the SG chips that caused it. What's in the game now?

I was just checking the game out and found it to be somewhat odd. Jason Title: Re: Wild Thing lighting on blanks??? Post by: mvco on March 02, 2014, 06:37:06 PM While on the subject of Wild Thing, I saw in a forum topic last week that a Double Diamond Haywire would also work with a Wild Thing Cowgirl SB chip and sound simm.
Ran out and got that SB, (already had a Wild Thing simm) and I am having a blast with it! Highly recommended if you enjoy screwing around with sounds and such. Also like this SB better than the Double Diamond Haywires, as it lights up the symbols on the reel strip anytime you are on for a win, adds to to the fun factor. :-) Title: Re: Wild Thing lighting on blanks??? Using a Wild Thing simm in a DD Haywire.
Title: Re: Wild Thing lighting on blanks??? Post by: Yoeddy1 on March 02, 2014, 10:20:03 PM So, I guess the question still remains...is the video above normal behavior, or do you WT owners see the same behavior see the same results?
Thanks, Jason Title: Re: Wild Thing lighting on blanks??? Post by: DoubleZero on March 03, 2014, 12:31:45 AM Seems weird to me; almost like the strips weren't installed properly or the reels are out of order. I don't have that issue with my WT.
Title: Re: Wild Thing lighting on blanks??? Post by: cowboygames on March 03, 2014, 01:03:27 AM Jason, seems like it was a Wild Cherry theme that had a similar issue and the SG chips that were the problem were 362's and the fix was to switch to 363's
Title: Re: Wild Thing lighting on blanks??? Post by: Yoeddy1 on March 03, 2014, 01:21:50 AM Yeah, I think it was on TD Wild Cherry if I recall.
Jason Title: Re: Wild Thing lighting on blanks??? Post by: Bettor Slots on March 03, 2014, 01:54:41 AM The problem was in fact caused by the game chip (SB). The original one used SB100108 caused the anomalies with sound and back-lighting....just another flub up by IGT. This was later corrected by SB100488.
