Is the top candle blinking when you get the 83f error?  If so how fast -

also when you did the ram clear did all the lights flash and CL C show up - the C is for a complete ram clear.   Maybe you didn't hold down pseudo and test long enough and got a CL P which is a partial ram clear.

Sounds to me your procedure is wrong. Install ram clear clear chips , install board, hold down test and pusedo and turn on the power wait for the CL C on the display for a complete ram clear.Power down reinstall you chips and all should be fine.

Press and hold BOTH buttons before turning on the power switch.
I've never seen it go past 30 seconds. Longer than that and you have another problem.
What mains are you using? 92000?
If so, you should not need to use the clear chip. You should be able to use the jumper instead.

Press and hold BOTH buttons before turning on the power switch.
...

Actually, do as Neonkiss says, but you should see CH-C in the window when you turn on the machine. After you see CH-C, then RELEASE the buttons. The CH-C should change to CL-C. Then turn off the machine and remove the clear chips.
