Hi Mike

In the least not boring mate, at least they are honest about their screw ups.  Always had problems with their ballast at one time or another, and I know of a lot of casinos spending huge amounts on replacements instead of repairing.   Good info for the Aristocrat home user     loser loser loser   if there are any out there.

cheers

Ozzy

Cactus Jack Worte:

For those (like me) that were rather bored, and did read through the findings, it would appear that by REV 9, they figured out most of their "errors" and improved the reliability considerably. Most due to failed Q3 (Mosfet).

And in the case of EB246A models, they had a bad run of transformers (T1) causing almost all of their failures.

Like Ozzy Mentioned, too bad more companies aren't more upfront about their design mistakes.  Most, deny any problem until they have found a fix.  And even then, you may only hear about it when you call to complain about a wide spread problem (which they had previously denied existed).
