If you notice it says "Pay to the bearer 100,000 in gold" Today that would only be abount 108 ounces. Back then it was 5,000. They sold them off several years back for around $2m or $3m. There's a website that specializes in large denomination US currency that gets them, and the rarer $5,000 notes, from time to time. They cost a fortune today.
