Title: The Mancave Casino @ Area 51 NV
Post by: ashyron on May 16, 2009, 03:03:25 AM
OK so we bought our first 4 slot machines the beginning of February, :3- got real tired of loosing at the casinos.  It took a while but I got them all in the house and set up and playing.  Here is a pic of all four but you can only see three.  The fourth one is on the left side of the picture. :89-

Then we got the fifth one being the Volcano game some of you were eyeballing on CraigsList. :96-  It came with 400 dollar tokens.  I figure with the price of tokens (at the time I was searching for them) this machine costs us about $150 bucks. You can't beat that. :60- :60-

First came the Crystal 7's machine and then the Volcano game.   :25- :25- :30- :30- Crystl was dead in the water for about 3 weeks but thanks to April we got it up and running.

To make a long story short, :89- we went to bed one night :149- and got up the next morning and noticed we had more machines. We found an IGT Casino Night and a Bally's Slant Top, a WMS Piggy Game and a WMS Jackpot Limbo and Jackpot Party trying to nest in the house.  We needed a room to put them all in just in case they decided to mate and make more.  So I have been converting space over for a little area for these machines.

I put up a temporary wall, put in more power, painted the walls and put down some commercial grade carpet squares.  I hope you like what I have done so far. :103-  I still have machines to clean and some toppers to put up and stuff like that so it is still a work in progress.   :89- :89-

Oh and we traded Double Diamond for Haywire Deluxe and here's a picture of Jackpot Limbo too.  Just for good measure.  :72- :97- :72- :96-

ashyron, the cave looks great!  :3- Yes, you are starting to suffer from NER syndrome (Not Enough Room) that infortunately, is what many NLG members are victim's of. If you do move towards the main garage door, my suggestion would be rodding as high as you can go and putting rubber backed drapes across the opening instead of walling. This will effectively hide the door and provide heat/cold/light blockage and be easily removed. K+ for sharing!  :131-

:88- So as ya'all know, these machines are addictive. :89- Since my last update on here I have added my favorite game, WMS Jackpot Stampede Deluxe :3- and a few decorations too, toppers. :71- I also finally got the desk in so we can play video poker online, saving us from buying more games.  We have one more game on order and once we get that I'll post a pic of it.

I just thought I would share with you my updated pictures.

A couple more toppers. Yes, the Star Wars is lit up. I took out the round fluorescent bulb and ran a 6' length of rope light inside it.  This way it was easy to wire and if we ever sell it as a topper everything is original in it.  No wire cutting like on :31-

I think I will be exchanging the Ripley's topper insert for Clue or Trivial Persuit.  Not sure which yet.

Thanks enforcer.   :131-  Nothing, and I mean nothing, on that Jackpot Limbo is original.  It actually looks like a fun game but it's kind of boring.  If it wasn't for the fact that I don't have a clear chip for Williams, I would have changed the game by now over to Piggy (since that's the only other WMS game I have for it.  I have heard of other games and maybe one day I'll look into it but for now Limbo it is, not going to complain though cause at least I have one  :97-

OK It didn't take 6 months.  Already the fridge is gone and the freezer is next.  I can't move the washer or dryer so I am stuck with them being in there.

Woah..... slow down..... Freezer = Kegerator

I got this Micromatic control that (www.micromatic.com (http://www.micromatic.com)) that controls the temp within 3degrees of the target temp by cutting the power to the freezer
I have gone one step further and wired it to the compressor rather than just plugging it in. This allows me to still have power on the inside.
I had to run a 30ft line to my tap tower so I ran 2 other lines beside the beer line. I then placed a 5gallon bucket in my freezer with food grade gycol and a submersible pump.
I pump cold glycol next to the beer line then back to the bucket. The whole line is all insulated.....

Now that's awesome and a great way to convert a freezer.  I don't drink beer so I don't have anything to worry about.   :97- :97-  Now if you can convert it over to a cold booze cabinet and all I have to do is shove my face into a nozzle and drink away then we'll talk.   :72- :72-

A freezer works more efficently filled than it does empty as the contents absorb the temp and it takes less energy to keep cool than to cool down.

SO heres the gig. Fill up old milk containers with water, and freeze them. Stack the freezer about 80% full with these blocks. You then fill the rest up with cubed ice.
You now get a section of fine vodka...Stoli, Absolute, Smirinof, Grey Goose, perhaps some cranberry for the ladies, a bit of pepper vodka and wedge these in nicely along with a good selection of shot glasses.... open the top and you have an instant Russian/Sweedish style vodka bar.....perhaps wrap the outside in a padded rail just like you would use around a black jack table or slant slot....

The food items in a refrigerator or freezer is called thermal mass.
the best way to chill hard achohol is to fill a bucket full of water,
and put the bottle in the bucket then into the freezer, then take it out
at party time. Note: It's not (recommended) good to leave achohol of a high percentage in
the freezer or refrigerator for a long period of time. The refrigeration unit doesn't know better.
It will continuously try to suck the moisture, in the way of heat out of the
achohol causing the compressor to labor (run hot).
BTW, I do HVAC and Refrigeration as a living.

Dad and I did refrigeration about 25 years ago.  Yes, it is very wise to keep your fridge and freezer as full as possible so the food in it does the work and not the compressor.  Trust me, my units are full of food, or something.  Installing walk-ins are a real treat.  Heck we have even done auto body repair.  I guess I should say HE not we.  Now I'm just a lazy bum that takes care of a lazy old bum, HAHAHA :72- :72-

You'd better be careful that word doesn't get out about your man-cave...   The nearby casinos might file an injunction against you.  Know what I mean? A cease & desist order??  You'll take too much business away... :72- :72- :72-

Seriously tho...   AWESOME JOB ! !

I don't think I have the strength tonight to quote everyone I want to quote. :8- :8-  Mustang Sally was from a song, so CaptainHappy got it.  And for the game, there is a nice Barcrest sitting in my front room I need want to get rid of. :89-

Mary has 4 wheels and is an awesome GT from 2000.  She is all tucked away under her car caver under the portable garage under a tree in the back yard.  She is pretty happy and safe there.  Technically she doesn't belong to me but I drive it more than my brother does.  We are luck to put 2500 miles a year on her. :131-  But on the other hand my truck gets about 20 to 25 thousand put on it.  It all balances out, LOL

Oh and RacerGiant.  The pics I have on here are the old game room.  My house is turning out like Buzz's, we have at least one game in every room but my brothers office.  He can't have one in there or he wold never get anything done  :97- :97-  This Run for your Money never made it out to the game goon but is about to be put in the garage and covered with blanket until such time as someone wants to buy it.  If I can get these CDS games up and running (and more V from my doctor) I can get the game room looking good again and take new pictures. I said new, I know what ya'all are thinking but I said new  :97- :97- and get new pictures posted of our crowded but very fun game room.

And BTW - not even our neighbors know about my machines.  These things only breed at night  :72- :72- so only a couple friends, a few online friends and a couple of my sisters know about them.  Let's keep it that way.  I don't like my neighbors enough to want them to wanna come over and play.  :60- :60-

OK so did I leave anything out??   I think I got everything in.  Maybe next weekend I can get some new pictures posted.  I got another game to find a place for out there first.

LOL Stat.  I worked for a couple hours on one of them yesterday and two of them will get fixed after this first one and the 4th one will probably never make it out to the game room.  These days I'm being kept busy with all these doctor appointments so I don't even know when I will get to the games.  :37- :37-

Thanks for the compliments guys.  My sister and fiance' came down from Oregon to see Dad and was here for almost 2 weeks.  They said that pictures don't even do the room justice.  I have to admit though, I really only own 4 games though, the rest belong to my brother.  Oh, and the Razzle Dazzle now belongs to my sister.  What's really funny is a third of these games came from Buzz.

Allot of people are calling it a casino, I just call it my cave.  I can be found out there allot tinkering on something.  I even finally added my stereo so I can listen to the Zune player out there.  And as far as CCTV, HAHAHAHA, we have talked about buying a couple of wireless cameras and putting them out there.

Ohh man Ashy, you've got it bad! :96- nice job dude! :3-

Well, I can see it's been a while since I have been in here so it's time to update the game room pictures.

Recently I found a couple of CraigsList beauties that we just HAD to have.  :30- :30- Both are S2000 machines.  I bought one and brother bought the other.  Thank goodness for tax refunds, huh?? :131-

The first one is a round top RWB Big Times Pay. :3-  It has four reels and there is an announcer that talks during the bonus spin.  It's an awesome game with a pristine striped cabinet.  Glass is in great shape with all the 'frosting' on it and the printer works and says Mancave Casino on it. It also has back-lit reels.  The door looks almost brand new with very few scratches on it.  I'll need to try to find a bonus reel strip for it because the one on there isn't so good.

The other one is a round top Double Diamond Deluxe.  It has the fancy sounds to it during the spin and when nudging up or down.  It is multi-demon and also has a pristine striped cabinet.  Glass is in excellent condition as far as I can see.  There is a place for a printer but there isn't one installed.  Backlit reels on this beauty make it so fun to play.

They both come with the Mars bill acceptors.  I don't know if that's good or bad but I love how easy it is to get the cash box out.  The doors looks almost brand new with very few scratches on them.

We have no room for them but they were a must for us. :5-  We don't just have a game room anymore, now we have these toys all over the house.  So I was told to  :211- :211- :211- so coming up are a couple pictures of each machine.

I think you forgot the pictures, so......   :211- :211- :211-

If the Mars BV's that you are talking about are the ones with the yellow heads, SC-66 model, then you scored! Actually from your description, it sounds like you scored anyhow! This sometimes rainy weather has been screwing up my planned excursion to the Man Cave Casino!

:81- :81- I been trying to post the pictures but the first time they were too big and the second time it says I already posted them.  I sure don't see them.  Gonne try again though. :89- :89- :89-

As far as the BV's.  Yes, they are yellow and the model number is sc6602.

One day you'll make it up here to the Mancave Casino.  It's pretty crowded right now with the new machines up on blocks and all the stuff I have on or still have to put on eBay.   :89-

Bought a whole bunch of topper inserts for our walls.  The first box came in yesterday and the second box came in today and is still sitting on the couch waiting to be opened.   :37- :37-

OK so if we don't have the slot bug bad enough we have two more additions.  Here is one of them.  Creature from the Black Lagoon. It's a 19 inch cabinet and I am sure some of you read the thread about if buying it was a good deal or not.  It was good enough for me to buy it.   :96- Who needs money in savings right?? :30- It's in the house cause the game room is full.  At least in here I can play it and watch TV.  I lost my recliner though.  This game has awesome sounds and fun bonus rounds.

The other one is an s2000 5 reel game.  It started out as Cleopatra but isn't that anymore.

Thanks to a member on here  :244- :244- I was able to pick up a Crystal 7's 5 reel game kit to replace Cleo.  I only had Cleo in the machine because that's what it came with and it wasn't too much extra to have a game change.  Unfortunately though the guy I bought this machine from didn't make sure it had back-lit reels when he bought it so I'm gonna have to be on a hunt for a kit to exchange for back-lit reels.

Anyway here's a couple pics of Crystal 7.  BTW - we hit that big payout (in the second pic) within about 15 minutes of changing the game over.

RON,

SWEET looking machines! :244- :3- :244-  I am sooooo jealous! :131- :131- :131- I had a feeling that the IGAME was going to end up a 19" like mine instead of a 17" as I have never seen a 17" with curved front like that! (That doesn't mean that they don't exist, I am not sure if they do???) Is your Igame laminated, or powdercoated like mine?

I think that you STOLE those machines, especially the IGAME as the 19" models are much more pricey as they are popular overseas! The crystal sevens looks really sharp and classy!

I just need the weather to start to cooperate so that I can come steal errrr play in your casino! Soon I hope! :89- :71- :89-

CH :95-

SSSHHHHH Don't say anything about stealing, someone might hear you  :97- :97- This game is laminated. From looking at the inside of the machine it's an '01 cabinet and was inspected in '02 but the guy I bought it from told me the guy he bought it from found the cabinet in the dumpster and build it up from there.  There isn't a tag on the side with any information.  :60- :60-

The cabinet on both machines is in great shape.  The chrome doors on both machines are in excellent shape.  Just wait until you see them.  Oh heck, what am I saying, just wait until you see the game room.  :200- :72- :97- :200- :25- :208- :91-  This just proves I don't have a life. :5- :5-

The printer on Crystal 7 works but the printer on Creature doesn't.  Oh man what a mess that was. :25-  Creature still has all the player tracking stuff in it, so there are wires everywhere on the bottom part and in the upper part.  I had to take the glass off in order to retrieve all the printer paper inside.  I'll probably be able to post pics of the inside of these machines if you wanna see how clean they are.  I can't do it today because I am driving to the hospital to spend the day with dad and I normally don't get home until late.  Oh also, they are both coinless machines, what's it called, TITO.  That'll save hastels down the road.  Actually, it's more like CITO (cash in ticket out).

Yea, what's with the rain only on weekends?   :8- :8- :8-

I know that kind people have offered to bring stuff to me, but I was really feeling that it would be more fun for me to come up that way (to bring Ron the Parts machines that I gave him)  since all of you are up there. I figured that we would have to have a big party! I should have sent Buzz a MPU so that he could enjoy the machines while he was baby sitting, and apparently GUARDING them!!! :68- :68- :68-

The 19" Creature machine is one nice machine. If I ever own an I-game it will be either Creature, Alien, or Alien vs Preditor. All great games.

You do know I heard that the 19" monitor can cause severe hair lose. And since I'm bald I'd be happy to take it off your hands.  :72- :72- :72-

Very nice!  :89-

I prefer my BEER on the swet side or very little hop taste to it.

Crown and Coke, 7-Up, water or on the rocks is great.
One of these days I will have to buy a bottle of Stranahans Colorado Whiskey

I have never tried Stranahans. Actually I prefer single malt scotch to beer or other straight liquor, although I still fall for the sweet frozen fruity concoctions and Long Island Iced Teas (and in their case, I mean FALL.)

We won't tell, as long as you agree not to call your old friends out here about our -- uh -- minor violations of the vehicle code. :25- :200- :208- :208- :208-

Did you know that a Corvette C5 has six gears?... :129-  ...and that the top of fourth gear is around 140MPH?... :129-  ...and that cruising at that speed in sixth gear is only running at 3100 RPMs?... so you can still enjoy the AC and stereo and run at that speed all day long?   :129-  (even with cruise control if you're that dumb.)  <ADD> ...and that you can still get around 20 mpg at that speed? (around 26-29 mpg at legal speeds) :129-

Even at 140, they will still get you, remember, radio waves travel at 186,000 miles a second.

That's an amazing fact....the faster you go, the better your fuel mileage is
because the engine is actually cruising at lower rpm's! :186-
Of course you need the correct sized engine in order to get that kind of performance.
I remember my flight instructor telling me that as I was flying along in an Cessna 172.
As we were going down in a slight decreasing altitude - we were going faster
and faster and actually burning a lot less fuel!
I looked at the airspeed and I was going about 155 and I didn't even have a gas pedal! lol
Now, that's really zipping along!

I wasn't referring to getting caught or evading anyone, just the enjoyment of cruising down the highway in the middle of nowhere in the desert at that speed, although I wouldn't know how it really feels, since I've never done it.  :60- :58- :81-  :68- :68-

...Just like I wouldn't know how it feels to get a Corvette up to 165-170 MPH in fifth gear but be unsure of the exact speed because the alleged car didn't have the heads up display option and the alleged driver wasn't about to take his alleged eyes off the alleged road for even an alleged 0.1 seconds. :127-  :126-  The Corvette allegedly still had more power to accelerate, but the alleged driver allegedly chickened out at that alleged point.  :114-  By the way, the alleged brakes were allegedly fantastic, and allegedly brought the car right back down to a non-alleged legal highway speed very quickly and without any pulling, fading, or any other affectation, allegedly. :200- :30- :208- :208- :208-

<ADD> The steering was alleged to be rock solid as well, with no shimmying or vibration whatsoever. And since it's computer controlled and gets tighter as the car goes faster, there was allegedly absolutely no play in the steering wheel. But then, I wouldn't really know, since I've never tried it. :200-

Actually, that's not true. In the plane, he was using gravity to pick up speed while using less gas, but he could not sustain a faster speed in that manner indefinitely.

With a car, there is an optimal speed at which the vehicle moves the greatest distance with the least amount of fuel on a flat surface. It's different for every car, and depends on lots of factors, like the gear and axle ratios, the tire circumference, the size of the engine and RPMs at a given speed, the aerodynamics of the car ,etc.

In the case of the Vette, the optimal speed seems to be around 40-55mph (now there's  a surprise. :25-). I got 30 MPH MPG in sixth gear cruising extensively at 55 MPH on a trip to Oregon, which beat the crap out of the Cadillac I was traveling with. He only got about 23-24 MPG at the same speed.

Of course, the car has no torque or acceleration when traveling in sixth gear at that speed, since the engine is running at about 1200 RPM and idle is 800. That's why I think that optimal gas mileage might be obtained at 40mph in sixth gear. The engine would be just a hair above idle and would only have to barely overcome the friction needed to maintain speed.

Ahh, yes. Some of those letters of the alphabet lend themselves to lead foot, don't they? :89-  :3-   ..allegedly. :96-

What's really cool is that after allegedly driving those speeds for a while, driving 70 feels like a snails pace, and everything seems to happen so slowly that it becomes much easier to react to highway conditions. One's reaction time definitely increases with -- uh -- alleged practice.

Driving, I'm gonna say a little over 95 mph in a '92 Chevy Lumina.  Kind of difficult to know since the speedometer only went to 95.  Riding, I'll say 120.

Although, if I were to merely imagine such activities, I would have to repeat that in my mind, I've imagined traveling 165-170MPH on a few occasions for stretches of eight or ten miles at a time (about 3 minutes), and have imagined that I drove 140MPH for extended periods more times than I can actually remember imagining. :5-

At least the Corvette's speedometer goes to 200MPH and is computer controlled (even though it appears analog), so no burying the needle on the far right, here.

On the track: 195 in a non-street legal Porsche 911T, owned by a friend's father in high school. We used to pit for him for free at local races in exchange for track time.

On the street, it's possible I could have seen the computer-limited top speed of my BMW... but who really knows if I ever went 165 in that car or not? :96-

My sport bike is slower than the BMW, though, it only does 160, and I've only done that on the track. Too much speed for the street for me on two wheels, ever.

Period.

The chances of surviving  anything at that speed while surrounded by traffic, guardrails, and the like is minimal at best, and I do like being alive. At the track, you have plenty of space to shed speed slowly as you're surfing the asphalt. :89-

It was strange because it seemed like I was in slow motion and had plenty of time to do anything I needed to do. Looking back, it was probably a mix of adrenaline and tunnelvision.

Well, it all depends on when you come out.  I can pull the trailer out (casida as I call it) and set it up but it could get too hot or too cold out there.  When are you coming again?  After the first of they year?  :103- :103-

And since I am here, here are a couple of new pics.  I found someone that could get me some Game King glass so I exchanged it for the glass that was in the machine.  I think the Game King glass looks better.  Now I need to see if he can find me some Cleo glass.

Brother like the blue over the red.  Blue is his favorite color and red is mine so we have a nice mixture.  I can't complain though, not for what I paid for the glass.

And as far as a room at the ManCave, it would be IN   the ManCave.  My sister and brother-in-law like to sleep on the futon matress on the floor of the game room.  No windows so it stays dark as long as you want it to be dark  :97- :97-

Spin Inc (http://www.spininc.net/ (http://www.spininc.net/)) is a company based in Florida and they have all kinds of slot machine glass and other stuff too like games.  Unfortunately they don't cell to common folk like us, they only deal with businesses and probably people with DOJ's.

Thanks munch.  It does look good.  It's not easy finding this kind of glass.  It took me months to find this stuff.  I'll definately be picking up some of this if I run across it again.  There's allot of people looking for this.

OK let me explain something.

I HAVE TO STAY OFF CRAIGSLIST!!!!

Whilst sitting around yesterday morning thumbing through the threads, :244- having my morning laughs :97- and drinking my coffee :38- I was also on Craigslist and ran across a couple of games that we just couldn't pass up.  I went out yesterday evening and picked them up. :7-  Now as some of you know and few have seen, I am outta room in the ManCave. :23-

So since we are outta room in the 'cave the next option is to have them in the house.  We had to think of where to put them and I found the best spot. :92-  Now I know you are going to laugh at me and there will be remarks and I'm OK with that. :89-  So instead of explaining right now I will just post the pictures and let you think about the remarks and the pointing & giggling that's gonna go on. :127- :127-

And last but not least is Triple Double Wild Cherry.  Again, backlit reels, multi-denomination and enhanced sound board.  This got ram cleared also and so did Five Star.  Out of all the machines this one is the most used.  After getting it home I realized there are scratches up above the the DBV but not many and not as bad as some I have seen, or own for that matter.

We also did some rearranging in the game room last night. We set up all (except one) of the chop top machines on the new slot stand my son and I built last weekend.

Hey Bunker, is this BS or are you serious? If you are, the hotel rates at the casinos are usually very low in Laughlin, although the 4th will be higher. However, the sooner you book, the lower the rate. You might also find good rates in Vegas. Again, book early. By early, I mean as soon as now. If you have a player's club account with any East coast casinos with properties out here, check to see if you can get a player's rate or some free nights. There is much, much more to do in Vegas than Laughlin, so you might want to make an overnight trip to Bullhead for the BBQ and book the rest in Vegas.

If you really want to save money, I guarantee you that Joey will provide a free floor for you to crash on. I can't speak for our members in Vegas, but you probably won't have any trouble finding a place to crash there, either, unless I miss my guess.

Regarding the heat, you've seen our posts of the temperatures in previous years. Last year was unusually mild, but expect temperatures between 115°-125°F in Laughlin/Bullhead. Bring 50+SPF sunblock, a hat, and a bathing suit.
<ADD> On the other hand, it's not like Florida or South Carolina: there is no humidity.

And send me your itinerary so that we can plan to spend more than one afternoon together!  :200- :30- :88-

The Imperial Palace is a dump. :52- :60-  It's a Harrah's property, and Harrah's hotel casino is next door just to the north if you want to be in the same area of the strip. It will cost a little more, but will be worth every penny. Harrah's also owns the Flamingo, which is where Jay, CH, and I stayed in 2008. It was a nice place and was reasonably priced at the time.
<ADD> The Flamingo Go rooms had a much nicer bathroom, but their decor was a bit on the tacky side, IMO. At the time, they were about $10-15 more and were definitely worth the extra money.

Harrah's also has several other properties. You can see them all on their website, and they have a price comparison chart as well.

P.S. You won't recognize Vegas. Re-read all of our Vegas trip and suggestion threads to get a better idea of your choices of where to stay and what to do. :89-

I am not up for the glitz and glamor of Vegas. :60- :52- :60-  I prefer to go downtown and stay at Fitz where the rooms are super cheap and sometimes free. :89-  I am not in the room but a few hours to sleep so I don't see a point of spending lots of money on a place I won't be. :96-  That also leaves more money for gambling and checing out what games are out and about these days. :131-

Most anyone is welcome out here.  We now have ManCave North (non-smoking section) and ManCave South (and the smoking section) and both are fun to play in.  There is RV parking and showers and if there isn't enough room out here, I am sure there is plenty of room out at Buzz's but I can't offer that cause it's not my house.   :25-  If you are thinking of coming out this far (4 hour drive from Vegas) then I bet you can get Mark up here for a visit.  I'm sure he will want to check on his my Shooting Gallery game and probably crash on the recliner since it's out in the game room again.  I managed to have it in the house for about 3 days.  WOO HOO

Mark2, if you want to come all the way out west to visit, that would be great, and as ashyron said, Mark1 would probably come up from the border to join in. Sommer is in the neighborhood, Ricker might not be too far off, and brichter would be about six or seven hours away. Of course, he and most of us will probably be at the BBQ in Bullhead on the 4th.

Uniman lives about an hour or so northeast of Vegas. Now I can't be sure, but I think that KirkLasVegas lives in Las Vegas. :127- :128- :30-  :97- :97-
Rumor has it that Op-Bell and ICU4444 might be nearby... :79-

It also wouldn't be too hard to twist my arm to come to Vegas before going to Laughlin. :79-

Ashyron has a point about staying off strip to get lower rates. It all depends on your budget, but since you are traveling a long way to get here and haven't seen the town in almost 20 years, there is something to be said for staying on the strip. It's not as if this is a cheapie weekend getaway for you. On the other hand, Fremont street is worth seeing, particularly the overhead shows, which run each evening on the hour.

Buzz, I'm not sure you will get either one of these 5 reels back and still thinking we will pick up the 4 reel machine you got ready for me last night. Yea I got them and got them playing and Chip sat and played them for a few minutes last night.  Shoot, when I hear Buzz has new games, I am over there to help fix them and then buy them  :97- :97-

We are trying to figure out what games we can sell, that's NOT   an easy decision to make when we have so many fine looking and running games.

LOL @ sleeping standing up.  I have a couch, it's comfortable.  Wanna trade me houses??  :72- :97- :72- :97-

Not only do I not have a bed and now not a recliner, I have three boxes of illuminated stickers sitting in my front room.  They came in while I was over helping Buzz get these machines up and running.  You must not have been to Buzz's place Bunker, he has TONS of room for even more machines.  And everytime I take machines, that's even more room for more machines.

I'm gonna post a couple of pics of the machines from Buzz.

Here's the two 5 reel games that were at Buzz's house but now at my house until Chip can decide which one he wants.  Both have that 'used car syndrom'; bulbs burnt out, speaker not working, no printers, wobbly reels but all in all they are fantastic machines.  Now I know what Jim @ BlueRidge was talking about with wobbly reels.  They still play great though.  Like I said in a previous post, Buzz might not get either of them back.

Title: Re: The Mancave Casino @ Area 51 NV

And here is the third machine I will be picking up.  It's an actual 4 reel machine, not a 3 reel with a bonus reel.  I think there is a big difference in the two.  But then I am not paid to think. :25-

<ADD>  BTW - when I say I...... I actually mean Chip.  he's the one with the money, I just egg him on and then have to pay the consequences after he buys them. :30- :30- (moving things around to make everything fit, pick up the machines, put them on cinder blocks, you know, all that stuff)   :71-

Sorry I have been gone for so long but since Dad's passing I have been kind of lost, confused and somewhat frustrated so what better way to get some frustrations out then to rearrange my ManCave Casino.  I sold one game and sent 4 other games home with my sister to store for me until I move.  That meant I had room to bring the games out of the house and put them up in the ManCave.  So I got all the games we are keeping and put then up so we can play them in one area.  The ones I will sell I brought in the house for now.

What better way to get myself started on this site again than to update my own thread so enjoy the pics.

These first two pics show the change in progress.

Thanks for the compliments.

The plan is to move. :89-  But since that's not happening just yet I figured we might as well have all the games in one area, now that they will all fit.  :97-  I like the set up we had before but this one works too.

Stat,  I didn't do too good a job with taking the pics :60- but Pic 4069 shows the top of the 3 reel Crystal 7.  It's inbetween the Game King (on the left) and the black round top is the Bally Diamond Line. :89- Crystal 7 is one of the the very few that didn't actually get moved.  The other Crystal 7 (the 5 reel game) is here in the house.  I guess I kind of forgot to mention that.  :25- :25- Three of the four 5-reel games are here in the house and my sister has the other one.  I sent my sister the Shooting Gallery game, Dad's Bally slant top, one of the 5 reel games and the Canadian Piggy game.  I'll probably be making a trip up there within this next month to look at houses and will take 4 of them with me to store in her garage.  No reason to take an empty truck up there, right?? :91-

The C7 3 reel is almost as fun as the 5-reel one.  The 5 reel is still in the house so we can play it in a cool area, like mother mature intended  :89- :71- :89- Yes, I also have a Wild Cherry Bonus Pie slant top vision game.  That's pretty fun.  The Balloon Bars (in the matching cabinet) isn't as fun but saving it anyway.

Yes, we are pretty particular on what games we get/have.  We only like the fun ones and when we buy a dud (CFTBL and that stupid Barcrest game :25- ) we get rid of them ASAP.  No room around here for dud's.  As far as the 'cave goes, that'll all be coming down soon but wanted to have one more change before doing so.  Anyone need a prebuilt wall with a door??  :97- :97-  It won't fit in Area 53's tiny cramped rooms.   :30- :30-

Ron,

Wow, CFTBL a Dud???  I see you have LOTS of Reel Games, perhaps  the Video Slots are not to your liking? CFTBL is one of THE BEST GAMES IGT made for the 3902 platform. Glass artwork, game design, graphics, sound, video clips, all very well done. Only a few other titles can match CFTBL for game play, entertainment, and replay value.  I know this is purely personal preference, but, am sure that others on NLG with iGames will feel the same way as I do.

Yea a dud, we didn't like it after we bought it. :37-  I think we had it a couple months before we could sell it.  I guess we just ain't video slots people. :60-  I do admit though that the glass artwork, game design, graphics, sound, video clips, all very well done :89- :89- but we just found them screaming all the time to be very annoying.  :8-

Hey Mark,

:8- Dad passed on 5-26-10,  exactly 6 years to the day after my GF passed.  That was freaky. :71-  If you tried calling here right after that, you probably DID get a busy signal. :89- :89-  I had family here for a week or so afterwards, and there was so many phone calls that not even I could use the phone. :60-  It's been a rough month since his passing but I am surviving.  Almost healed from my surgery too. :3- :3-

BTW - I sent the Shooting Gallery game 986 miles north so it's safe.   :97- :97- :97-
