Title: Odyssey Bill Validator and other Problems Post by: enforcer on June 03, 2009, 12:12:33 PM The bill validator was working fine and after doing some work on other parts of the machine behind the monitor and down by the boards, all I get is a solid red light (more of a glow) on the validator and a non working validator. :103- :37- :37-
Going into the Odyssey set up pages, I am not getting any checksum errors or other messages indicating the bill validator has a problem. I also took the validator out and put it back in to see if it would re-start, but with no luck. Looking at the Mars manual for the 1101, it talks about a test mode, but I don't have a jumper to try to put the validator into the test mode, though. The second issue I am having, is that I have the machine set up as a 5 cents machine. When i drop in a quarter, however, I get only one credit as opposed to 5 ? Anyone know how to fix this issue ? Third issue is that I have to regularly adjust the focus on the screen through the control knob on the top of the flyback transformer. Is this a sign of needing a new flyback transformer or something more nefarious ? I grow more frustrated with my Odyssey each day....but the notion of a fully functional machine keeps me coming back. enforcer |
