Post by: Tbone on June 14, 2009, 04:00:27 AM
I have seen videos of your slots in action and your reels sound smooth.
How do you get them that way?
Mine sound like a mad cow. lol!

Thanks!

Troy, I fought the whole noisy reel battle too.  Ended up replacing 2 of the reel motors, but the one thing that made the
biggest difference was changing the game speed switch on the mpu board to normal.  That quieted my reels way more than anything else I tried1
Good Luck :96-

I got the same scraping sound with a 4th reel on my s2000, I ended up taking them apart, looking for cracks etc. found nothing put them back in and, believe it or not, it was OK after that!

I think I might have to replace the motor. I have it set to normal.

I think I might try what jstraa said and see if that will fix it.
Or I can just turn up the volume to hide the reel noise. LOL!

Thanks for the help!

Have you tried this (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=2718.msg21901#msg21901)?

Also, a search (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?action=search) for "noisy reels" will bring up a thread ported from the old site with some suggestions.  Try the suggestion that I linked to above, first, as that's solved my noisy reel problems.  You may have a combination of that and loose reel strips causing your "mad cow" sound.

Your reels have the "mad cow" disease... :96-

Yes, knagl's suggestion of doing a search for "noisy reels"
will point you to all kinds of info into how we got our reels cured!
