are there comparators that recognize the SBA dollars or the newer gold dollors

A comparitor compares coins. You insert the sample coin and it matches up what is inserted to the sample. Either rejecting or accepting the coin based on metallic properties.
There is a X10 comparitor which is capable of learning coins. This is useful if you are using tokens and the metal properties differ between different series of coins.

I myself use paschilo tokens from japan. Different pachi parlors minted their coins and the spec is rather loose. Most pachis recognise a coin by weight (coin mech) AND not by comparison so this is not an issue in Japan. It is more tightly controlled with NorthAmerican machines from the comparitors.
