Title: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: jdkmunch on June 17, 2009, 06:58:57 PM I have a 6000 that has 3 reels. How difficult is it, if it can be done at all, to put in and run a 4 reel game like bonus frenzy?
I would love to buy a kit like that with 4 reels. Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: blueridgeslots on June 17, 2009, 09:34:17 PM For $150 bucks you can have it, in 9" top glass or I think 16 as well
Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: jdkmunch on June 17, 2009, 09:44:48 PM Is that the kit with a reel ? or just strips and glass? I only have three reels. And 9" squib glass
Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: jdkmunch on June 17, 2009, 09:47:40 PM Are the reels skinny or the same size?
I would need top, belly and reel glass for 4 reels and then the reel ? Sorry about the posts.. I'm just excited. :131- Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: a69mopar on June 17, 2009, 10:19:03 PM The reels are the same between a 3 and a 4 reel machine, 1 extra on a 4 reel obvoiusly. Need to change the reel harness and bracket the reels attach to as well as the top brace they slot into. A fat reel has the short pins to become a skinny reel when needed and vice versa.
Thanks, Wayne Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: jdkmunch on June 17, 2009, 10:27:42 PM If the $150 includes the changeover .... I'm in.
I'll even do the speaker mod and put the speakers on the side of the machine to hold regular 9" glass. I think I'll sell the angels and diamonds because I ... well I just give up. :5- If I were to guess the kit Jim speaks of includes - Top, Belly, strips and chips. I would have to get a reel and all the rest of the stuff Wayne stated. Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: stayouttadabunker on June 18, 2009, 12:45:41 AM JDK,
What this "Angels and Diamonds" you're speaking of ...a game kit for a Bally 6000? Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: a69mopar on June 18, 2009, 12:48:44 AM Hi Jonathan,
I intend to try to get to the bottom of the diamonds and devils, but have been busier lately. I'll try it out when things get slow, so you may want to hang on to it for now. Thanks, Wayne Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: stayouttadabunker on June 18, 2009, 01:07:45 AM I have also noticed a lot more traffic here on NLG with new members popping up like crazy....
I can only imagine what it's like at a slot store....jeesh! <<Fake scenario>> Newbie walks in Mopars store: "How do you get that bloody light to stop blinking? It's keeping me awake and I can't sleep with it blinking all night long!" Mopar: "Open the door, and turn off the switch inside" Newbie: "Okay, I'll try that...Thank you!" customer walks out store but calls Mopar the very next day Phone rings at the store Mopar: "Hello, How may I help you?" Newbie: "Last night I opened the door and turned off the switch like you told me to. and, the bloody machine was ringing a bell all night long!!!" Mopar: "What switch did you turn off?" Newbie: "i dunno, I hit the liitle white switch, nothing happened, so I turned the little key on the side and pressed the buttons on the door a few times and the bloody bell was busting my ears!" Mopar: " You must of put the machine into a Bell test mode" Newbie: "Well, now you own me a new machine!" Mopar: "How do you mean?" Newbie: "The bell was so loud that the only I could shut it off was to take a big sledgehammer and smash the machine to a pulp!" Mopar covers the telephone mouthpiece with his habnd and turns to his wife and says: "Honey, make sure that travel agent has our plane tickets ready for the flight to Joey's 4th of July Bash ready for tomorow!" Mopar's wife: But Dear, we're not supposed to leave until the 3rd!" Mopar: "Well, start the car! We're leaving now! I've got to get the hell outta here!" :96- Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: blueridgeslots on June 18, 2009, 01:11:39 AM Is that the kit with a reel ? or just strips and glass? Thanks, Wayne I think I was able to get a 4 reel Triple Bonus Frenzy. I can't wait to see what you mean by a Fat Reel has pins to become skinny. Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: stayouttadabunker on October 15, 2009, 12:34:30 AM JDK,
I know I can make the reels "skinny" or "Fat" on the 5500's... there's extra receptors on the reel baskets. All you do is pull the baskets apart, off set it so the pins line up with the shorter receptor holes , push the baskets together and presto! Your reels lost 20Lbs... My guess is that the 6000's have the same kinda reel baskets as well... Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: PWRSTROKE on October 15, 2009, 01:27:30 AM Bally Ten Times Pay Bonus frenzy -6000. Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: a69mopar on October 15, 2009, 01:45:04 AM 4 reel and 3 reel baskets are the same with pins for either setup, you could look at your 3 reel baskets.
W Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: jdkmunch on October 15, 2009, 09:36:25 AM It has to be an optical illusion. It sure does look like the 4 strip game's reels are thinner than a three reel.
Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: idylewild1 on October 15, 2009, 09:44:49 AM The reel strips are smaller for a four reel machine. As 69mopar said the reel basket has two different positions to use when putting them together. One for wide and one position for smaller reel strips.
Nice looking machine. Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: jdkmunch on October 15, 2009, 10:07:07 AM I understand now. The reel is exactly the same however you pull the basket apart find the lower holes and make it a bit thinner. It all make sense now.
Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: jdkmunch on October 15, 2009, 10:07:39 AM Thanks! Staout and W.
Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: reho33 on October 15, 2009, 11:18:53 AM It's amazing how different themes get "borrowed" from the different manufacturers: Bally has an S6000, IGT has an S2000. Bally has a game called Blazing 7's, IGT has a knock off of it called Sizzling 7's. IGT has 5,10,20,100x pay. Bally is jealous so they make a game like the one discussed in this thread called 2,5,and 10x Bonus Frenzy..................hummmmmmmmm. Sorry for the intrruption, back to the thread! :96-

Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: daddy2yea on October 15, 2009, 11:05:44 PM Just an off the wall question here, but how come some 4 reel Bonus frenzy games have a Yellow 4TH reel strip and some have a white 4TH reel strip.
Just wondering? Mike Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: jdkmunch on October 15, 2009, 11:06:54 PM That is a very good question! I don't know but I hope mine will be yellow.
Title: Re: Bally 6000 Bonus Frenzy Post by: a69mopar on October 16, 2009, 01:59:12 AM Just an off the wall question here, but how come some 4 reel Bonus frenzy games have a Yellow 4TH reel strip and some have a white 4TH reel strip. I first thought the white strips were earlier, however I have had machines that are from the same year, one with yellow, the other white, and now wonder if it was the yellow first then the white later. I like either colour equally. I'll try to remember to check the strip numbers next time.Just wondering? Mike Thanks, Wayne |
