Title: I need a RAM clear chip
Post by: modessitt on June 24, 2009, 03:19:26 PM
I've got a Double Diamond slot here (SP731) that had a dead battery.  I replaced the battery, but now get the "61" CMOS error that I can't clear via the button, latch, or key.

Who do I buy it from, how much, and how do I order?  Also, I'll need instructions on what to do with it.

Thanks...

You might talk with Ken at Ohio Gaming 513-850-1384.  He is a pro at those machines and can sell you a clear chip.  He also has instructions on his web site as to how to clear after a battery change.

Good luck

Your little white test button...with the door open, hold it in for about 7 seconds...you may or may not hear a ding.
The "Ding" sound depends on the speaker if it's hooked up and the volume setting...
The numbers should change to "61-1".
If it does change, then close the door, and turn the reset key once...you should be up and running...
If not, something else is wrong...like a bad ground wire somewhere on the switch perhaps...
