Title: fortune 1 video poker Post by: lendeland on July 06, 2009, 02:55:08 AM Hello,
I have a fortune 1 video poker machine mfg 5/83,I have owned it for 10 years. My problem is I had family stay with us while I was out of town and appears that the cooling fan went out and the screen went black shortly there after. I have no picture, when I turn the game on the screen has static when I run my fingers across the screen. I can insert a coin and the game will function fine, just no video. There is a setup switch on top of the monitor, that should display a line across the screen when in setup mode I have no line. please help! God bless, Mike><> Title: Re: fortune 1 video poker Post by: lendeland on July 07, 2009, 01:20:28 AM You are exactly right,it is an RGB monitor. Thank You, I will replace the capacitors and let you know. I'm not very electronic oriented, however it looks to be fairly easy to replace them. Once again thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Title: Re: fortune 1 video poker Post by: BigT on July 19, 2009, 05:37:28 PM Did you find a "cap kit" for your machine or did you do it the hard way and purchase them individualy? I need to replace the cap's in mine as one is burnt up. Would you or anyone happen to have a schematic for the rgb board?.
Mine works except no video, found a burnt cap. In another thread I found a troubleshooting check list for the fortune machines and a switch check list which I have attached. Good Luck, Big T Title: Re: fortune 1 video poker Post by: Ohio Chad on August 24, 2009, 05:31:46 PM Any suggestions on finding a CAP Kit? Any good distributers?

Here is an old thread that discussed it with some contact information: http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=93.msg402#msg402 (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=93.msg402#msg402) Let us know if it is still current and works out for you! They are based out of California and are very easy to work with. If your cooling fan is out, you may have other dilemas (like MPU related)
