Title: NEWER BILLS WORKING WITH ODYSSEY Post by: Billythekid on July 06, 2009, 09:13:06 PM Ok, so I had always heard you can't use newer money on the Odysessy, then I had read from an SGI engineer on Winters site that there is no reason the Mars BV can't be updated as they "SGI" didn't do anything propritary to the BV system.
So after owning an Odyssey for about 3 months and using only small head money I tried a big head $100 and it took it!! Next was the large head $20, $50, $10 and it took them all. This leads me to believe that someone has flashed my BV to a newer profile firmware. My machine came from someone who bought it at AZslots. It does not take the new colored money. So my question is whether or not there is a colored money update for the Mars ZT1??? that is in the Odyssey? And if so what it takes to get the BV updated. However you can change to a WBA SS-13, just need to make a custom bezel and you also need to update the config EEprom with a special file that has the WBA listed correctly as the BV mfg.
