It made me feel that much older :25- :25- :25- :25-. It also shows the generational gap in technology that kids nowadays have. I was determined to go into downtown Montreal and buy a Kenwood portable cassette player (I hated Walkmans...lol) I thought it was so cool to be one of the first to own one that had "Auto-Reverse"..... :72- Title: Re: If you owned or thought a walkman was cool, you need to read this Post by: rickhunter on July 08, 2009, 04:57:23 PM I think somewhere in a box up in the attic I may still have my original Sony Walkman. I know I have a Discman. I remember working a summer job to save up to get it. Mine did not have auto-reverse. I didn't have that feature on a casette deck until I got one for my stereo rack in the late 80's.

It's a funny thing, but the majority of technical advancement that we enjoy always seems to have happened before we were born when we're barely a decade old. Of course, when he's in his forties or fifties the anti-gravity shoe will be on the other foot. :47- :97- :97- :97- |
