my CDS hates me, please help! « on: January 26, 2007, 08:41:24 AM » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, I am new to the board and am looking for some help. I have a CDS "american pride" 3 reel slot machine, it has worked great since I bought it about a year ago. Reciently I moved and somehow during transport the game decided to hate me. When I went to turn on the machine after the move the lcd display read "v2.27a" once then scrolled "system error!" over and over. I have been told that I need a 2.27a birth chip but I have found them impossible to locate. can I just swap out the main board instead? does any one have any ideas that may bring this thing back to life? Symptoms: displays "V2.27a" then "system error!" all lighting works no plugs or boards are loose bill acceptor resets on startup will not accept coins or bills will let me scroll through programming index (with key) Thank you for you time, Dana. If it will not allow you to highlight and enter 'Initialization', then you're out of luck and need the Birth Chips.
