Title: I need help with my Bally series E-2096
Post by: ShaneP on July 12, 2009, 05:19:23 PM
Hello everyone,

I have a Bally series E 2096 slot machine everything is working great however, when I pull the arm it does not retract normally.  I goes back into it's starting position very slowly.  Does anyone have any ideas or trouble shooting ideas for this problem. I'm also looking for a manual for this machine if anyone knows were I can get one.

Thanks,
Shane

there is a rubber seal in the piston on the right side of the reel mech. the seal has melted - need to take the piston apart - remove the old seal - there are none of these seals available - just put some grease in the piston.

Thanks Fox,

Is it fairly easy to take the piston apart? I don't know much about this machine and don't want to ruin the machine if I do it wrong.  Any advice or help would be awesome.....once again thanks so much!!

Shane

the piston has 4 screws holding it to the frame - one you unscrew - simply pull the plastic housing from the piston arm - then clean the rubber residue off all the parts - use cleaner like GREASE LIGHTNING.

Shane       as Barry stated you have to clean all the parts ,  its not hard but it is messy, if you get that stuff on you or anything else its difficult to get it off, the only cleaner that has worked well for me was fingernail polish remover. And I always wore plastic gloves. you'll see what I mean!!!
