Title: Big Times Pay data
Post by: e2ekielus on July 23, 2009, 03:36:20 PM
Ok,
Ive just learned the Basics on My S+ Games to where im comfortable on how they operate. However, I only own one S2000 game (Big Times Pay) and Im not sure how These eproms on these systems work. Im sure they are very similar but dont want to assume. Here is what I found on my PCB:

Stepper Base:             SB100231
Stepper Game 1 of 2:  SG000136
Stepper Game 2 of 2:  SG000136

Version Chip:               VS009VXO
There are 2 more chips but they are not labeled.

Can Someone explain what each chip does and data for each one?
When I bought This slot, I had the tech drop denom from .25 to .05. I saw him pull board out replace one of the eproms, change denom on screen and that was it!
Can someone explain what chip he changed out and with what?
Thanks,
Noob

most likely he put the key chip in to change the denomination and then put the base chip back in.

Yeah Thats what i understood from reading here, However I am pretty sure I watched him correctly and After he replaced a chip (didnt see which one) He powered up, went through the on screen menu to denom, set it, backed out of menu, closed the door and was done. He never removed board again! So..... IDK?

anyway what about the chip data? can anyone help out?
Bill

thats becuase you put in keychip , power up, wait, power back down, put in orginal chip power back up, and then your in change mode. once done making chings you exit and your done. the chip in a way just enables being able to make changes on the next power up
