Title: Need some reading material on VLC MODEL 8724 (boat anchors?) Post by: icu44444 on July 24, 2009, 10:26:23 AM I have had 4 vlc 8724 video machines in my garage for a couple of months. Been busy with rebuilding 25 slots and few other video machines but now I am almost out of stuff to stick my head into and so I have been glancing over at those VLC boxes and I hear them calling out to me. I dont know a whole lot other than the normal negative comments I think everyone has heard like "good luck finding the clear chips" and "scrap em, they are just boat anchors". Well my new friends I cant just deep six them without seeing what makes them tick, and maybe with some new life games input from time to time I hope to get some of them working. Right out the gate I googled around on these units and found very little. So can anyone steer me in the right direction to somehow obtain any and all manuals on this vlc 8724 model? This site has been a godsend of appreciated shared knowledge to those lost or in technical need. THANKS for any help on this.

They should go to "kill the competition" anonymous meetings.
