Title: key chip access failure Post by: jstraa on August 07, 2009, 11:29:19 AM Hi,
I'm trying to install a Progressive display in my S2000 but I get an error when I've inserted the game eprom again and can't access the menu's. The error message is "key chip access failure". Could this be because there are still credits on the machine? Title: Re: key chip access failure Post by: tacman on August 07, 2009, 11:39:31 AM jstraa, you are correct. If there are credits on the machine you will not be able to change any of the key chip options and you will get the key chip access failure message.

However now I can't get in the 7.3.3 setup any ideas? I've installed super stars spin ... Title: Re: key chip access failure Post by: jstraa on August 07, 2009, 11:48:27 AM After the auto netplex config it finds the display so I guess that's a good thing

SB100027 Tabasco. No credits, the two amber lights light up when I install the key chip. I have used a 17 and a 31. Both do not work. I did try to do this with credits on the machine until it :25- me. But cleared the credits and it still neither one will not work. I have used the key chips at lease 20 times prior to this time. I tried the 17 in another machine and got the same results. Does the mean my key chips have play out? Ron <edit> found short in wire PSP harness. |
