Title: New To NLG
Post by: GamingOperationsGirl on August 10, 2009, 04:51:24 PM
Hello to all! I'm new to NLG and I hope to get to know many of you and to be able to swap ideas and info.

A little about me:

I'm twenty-something years old. :96-
I have been in the Casino indusrty for over 4 years now. I worked my way up at my current casino and
I'm now the Gaming Operations Manager. I like my work, learn something new every day. I enjoy tinkering with the slot machines, even though it can be frusterating at times. I like the satisfaction when I fix a machine that was thought to be "unfixable" by others.
We have a lot of older slot machines on our gaming floor, a lot of these machines are so old that the parts needed to fix them are no longer being manufactured, and so it gets continually harder to find parts for them. Also we have to use Class III vendors to get all our parts.....don't get me started on the lame ass rules we have to follow and all the hoops we have to jump through. Makes me want to grap a sledge hammer and "fix" the machines that way.  :25-

I have many manuals at my fingertips, but sometimes they're over-rated. If anyone has any questions of me I'll be happy to answer if I can.
Hope you all have a great day!

Welcome aboard G.O.G., It's good to see you filled out your profile.  If you encounter something that requires help, let us know and we'll all pitch in...
I see your casino has about 150 slots, including a "Wheel of Fortune Classic", is that a stand alone?  I know some will say that they weren't stand alone, but I'm sure that some were.

Thanks,
Wayne

WELCOME GAMINGOPERATIONSGIRL

It's always good to have more females on our site. It adds another prospective in figuring out some problems we all run across.
We always need manuals of all types, thanks for the offer. Most of us have the "old" machines so don't be afraid to ask a question.
Hope you have looked around as we have lots of answers including Rick's FAQ Files above, for the times the CRS might happen. All
thought you being twenty something, you won't need for quite sometime. :89-

Welcome, always glad to have more people in the industry here,

"Wheel of Fortune Classic", is that a stand alone?  I know some will say that they weren't stand alone, but I'm sure that some were.

The S-2K was made in Stand Alone in certain Jurisdictions, the Top Award was Fixed amount

blueridgeslots: My Wheel of Fortunes aren't stand-alones. I'm glad they're not too......we don't have to pay that progressive jackpot if it hits. IGT/Sodak pays it.....T.G.

jdkmunch: You crack me up! I'm sure you & I will get along fabulously....

To all: Thanks for all the warm welcomes & offers to help, should I need anything. You guys are great.......I feel like I just joined a secret club.  Let me know if I can help with anything.
