Title: CHICAGO COIN BASEBALL CHAMP PITCH&BAT E/M ARCADE GAME
Post by: Evilmonkey on August 16, 2009, 02:35:09 AM
I am thinking of buying this and was wondering if anyone else here has one?
I remember as a kid playing this game and almost wet myself when I seen it for sale....

If it brings back strong childhood memories, you really want it and it's hard to find, I'd jump on it; you can't put a price on some things. But then, that's just me.

of the pitch and bat games, it's one of my least favorite.
it's made to look like a video game. has no running man
unit. i guess if it's cheap and local it's worth getting. but
not the one i would go for.

I rrreeaalllly liked the ones where the men ran around the bases... :96-
It was so cool to hit a bases loaded hit after hit just to watch them run around! :89-

I have two baseball games. One is a 1964 Midway, and the other a 1972 Williams. They are fun to have for a gameroom. The Williams has the running man unit. I got the machine from a fellow who left it out in the weather for awhile. Machine was not working. Thought it would be an easy fix with just pitch, bat, and target relays. Took me about a week just on the switches under the running man unit to operate properly. Got the machine running, re-painted cabinet and is a neat little game. Only thing not working on it is a siren goes off when you hit a home-run. Recieved the machine with a broken and parts missing sound board. But all others sounds work fine, the crowds whistling, and the explosions. Has string of lites going off like fireworks when you hit a home-run. I heard a game with the sound of the siren, and if mine worked I would probably silence it. Didn't like it!

Update...
Thanks for all the great info guys.
I ended up getting it but the pictures this person had posted were not of the actual machine.
It was a Chicago Coin deluxe world series (witch is the same machine)
The machine is all there but really dusty and needs some work, I also picked up a Midway Sea Raider Submarine Game, witch is in awsome condition but just needs some cleaning and a few bulbs.
I guess it will keep me busy for the next little while.

Good luck on your find. I have been waiting for a sub game to come around my way, but no luck yet! Never had one!
