Several months ago I purchased a lot of 4 S+ slots machines. When they came in they were in pretty rough condition, I guess that explains the price I paid for them (hehe Dont Ask) Well after several months The first one in very near completion all that remains is to figure out how to hook up the topper wiring, any help would be greatley apperiated.

and the first project was to find a round top, This one I purchased on E-bay 25 bucks plus shipping it had a white laninet on it so I used a heat gun and stripped it and the slot had a gols metal laminet in it, so I heated it up too anf off came the metal

Once the cabnit was preped , It was time to apply the laminat I found some wood grain material at a local lumber discount store as it normaley sells for $1.00 to 2.50 SQ FT I bought 4 4x8 sheets for $50.00 Bucks.

This slot arrived to me as a quarter slot, But after I handeled those DOLLAR tokens it had to be converted I purchased 500 BB Cody $ tokens and a dollar hoppre and coin mec and head and converted it to dollard, also purchased a progressive metter and topper

this project was a lot of fun but also a lot of work, but being a 35 year carepenter has realey paid off.

For insurance purposes, I'd say that the machine in the condition it's in is at least $1000.  I'd welcome the opinions of others, though.

man oh man, I'd insure it for like 8-9 grand...
That way, if anything happens...you'll be well on your way to a brand new game room....lol

Great job, I love the 10x pay too.  Question on the topper, how many volts does that run on?
And where is the progressive? Can't seem to find it!

Goldfinger, what did you use to cut the laminate???  Since the lower cabinet is steel it would be hard to follow the contours with a router.  Also around the door hinge it would be impossible.  I am going to use the old gold colored panels like you had on yours as a pattern for the new panels.  I see these type of laminate cutters are available.  Wonder if they would work???

I'd imagine he removed all the metal cabinet hardware that might get
in the way of a high-speed spinning router bit.
That would include steel door hinges?
Carpenter's clamps holding the laminate in place help a lot as you use
a sharp pencil on the backside of the laminate to trace hard to get at places and intricate cuts.
Then you would lay it out flat on a bench and make those fine cuts then re-install the laminate with
adhesive after all cuts are to your liking.
The laminate snips you've pictured are really made for cutting edges of laminate
but only when the particular cut falls within the width of the snips.
Using those on laminate for longer length cuts may bite off a little more than you'd want.
If those are used, the laminate will crack exactly where you don't want it to.

I striped the cabinet down ,removed the door and hing glued the laminate on and then used a router.
those cutters are for rough cutting only not for finishing your edges you need a router and a good sharp flat file
