I have just got a Ballys E-1088 series slot machine. The solenoid for the arm is always engaged as soon as the unit plugs in. I have swapped the triac with a known good one and it still is activated. Is there a free play switch that I am not aware of that is activating the arm solenoid. Can someone tell me if there is a schematic for the I/O board posted that I can use to trouble shoot the board Thanks Rodney :59- Title: Re: Bally E series I/O board question Post by: Tomba on August 26, 2009, 01:35:26 PM I will check if I still have those schematics. Used to work on those E1000 and E2000 long time ago but forgot most of it (used to have the schematics drawn in my mind).
Title: Re: Bally E series I/O board question Post by: FOXSSLOTS1 on August 26, 2009, 04:20:51 PM try disconnecting the mpu ribbon cable - could be a problem with the mpu - also a short in the cabinet - disconnect the power side of the IO to check on the short therory - I am away until 9/1 so I can't do much more.
