Title: JCM WBA-13-SS wiring in a Konami Flame Jumper Post by: raddroxx on August 26, 2009, 09:01:44 PM I bought a 2004 Konami Flame Jumper at auction. It was missing the bill validator, carriage and stacker. I purchased a JCM WBA-13-SS in a JCM WBA-12-SS Chassis and stacker from someone here that works on older slot machines. He said to check here and maybe someone can help me with the wiring.
In the Flame Jumper is a 15 pin connector (BILL-sticker on wiring) that has a 12 pin short adapter attached to the open end. On the 12 pin adapter there are only 6 wires that go from the 15 pin to the 12 pin. And on the adaptor is a plastic sleeve with (251072048 G1) on it. Don' t know if that means anything. There are also 2 other wires. A Black with Gold Stripe with (COM sticker) and a Pink with White Stripe with (Stack 1 sticker) and (110055A sticker). The wiring from the Bill validator has 4 plugs. 1. 2 pin with Black and Red wires 2. 3 pin with Gray, Purple and Blue wires 3. 5 pin with Green, Yellow, Orange, Red and Brown wires 4. 4 pin with only 2 long wires in the 3 and 4 pin position, being Black and a White wire As far at the 6 wires in the 12 pin plug on the adapter in the slot machine they are: Row 1: blank, blank, Gray, blank Row 2: Purple, blank, Orange, Blue Row 3: Brown, Green, blank, blank Any help is greatly appreciated. I have some Konami info, but only for a 15 pin connector. If you tell me the wiring from the 15 to the 12 pin, with pin numbers if possible, I can see if it matches my info and maybe help you hook it up. The connector bodies have microscopic numbers molded on the wire side.

I'll look tomorrow if need be. Not sure if the guy i got the bill validator from has one or not, but is a JCM WBA-13-SS made for Konami? Title: Re: JCM WBA-13-SS wiring in a Konami Flame Jumper Post by: Op-Bell on August 27, 2009, 03:11:52 PM JCM does make a BV for Konami, but it's the same as the IGT except for the short harness and the firmware. The harness for Konami games is JCM part number 400-100174, but you can connect up at no additional cost if you splice wires. Konami uses protocol ID-003, IGT uses protocol ID-024 (Netplex), so you will almost certainly have to change the firmware in the WBA.
I believe this is the connection list, but take a meter first and verify the voltages on the red, orange and yellow wires. The important ones are the orange wires, 12V - the others are not used with the WBA. 15-pin WBA Function 1 brown 3 RESET 2 pink-white 4 RXD 3 beige 6 TXD 4 blue 14 LED + 5 blue/white 18 LED - 6 red (5V) 7 orange 1 12V 8 orange 5 12V 9 yellow 24V) 10 black/brown 2 GND 11 black/yellow 7 GND 12 black/yellow 13 GND 13 black/yellow 14 white 15 white/white Wire colors on the short JCM harness vary, so go by the pin numbers. Looking at the back of the 3-row 20 pin connector on the WBA, pin 1 is BOTTOM LEFT. Pin 7 is TOP LEFT. Pin 8 is BOTTOM CENTER, pin 13 is TOP CENTER. Pin 14 is BOTTOM RIGHT, pin 20 is TOP RIGHT. |
