Hi, the other day on my vision, it started to get "bill door open". I checked inside and the bill door wires are connected to each other at the backbane where all the connectors are connected. Sometimes it goes away then plays a few times then the same. The lower glass door switch is connected and working fine. The main door optics are connected and working fine.
I am really confused on it. Any help is appr. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the reply. What I did was did a simple game change and then boom, got the error. I then went back to the original game and the same. I did not change any of the wiring and my big meatcleaver hands didn't touch any wires, that I know of. Other than the wires to the bill door sensor, what ones are there, that deal with the bill door open? Thanks

I'd try re-seating the molexes into their connectors behind the cash box for starters.
Open and close the door a few times might clear the message too.
I had a similar problem on my S2000 and couldn't clear it.
I tried every type of optics and still,  the machine wouldn't read that the door was closed! :37-
Finally, I took the two wires from the door, made an extension and ran the extension under the reel tray to the main door plunger switch.
There was some extra terminals on the door plunger switch which gave me options as to either have the circuit open(NO) or closed(NC).
I attached the door wires to the "normally open" terminals
and when I closed the door.....voila!... all the error messages went away! :89-
Basically , I did away with optics and everything's tied into the main door plunger switch now...
great for home use but not for a live floor... :72-

I will try that and if that doesn't work ,remove it completely to try it. I tried it and no go. Does anyone have a wiring schematic? How do you completely bypass the bill door open?

The BV door swith goes to the backplane connector P10/J10. The pins are pin #5 and pin #6 is the return. Hope this helps. It could also be the MPU board is flaky. Hope this helps.

Thanks, those 2 are connected together right there at the board. MPU board, oh me. How would I rule that out without ruining another one in case?

The door switches usually supplies a ground to the MPU board. If you have an ohm meter I would check the green or blue/green wire and see if it is providing a ground. This wire should measure shorted to the chassis. The only way I know to check the MPU board is to replace with a known good board.

So what your saying is that the on the 2 wires it should somewhere be touching the chasis to make it grounded? or am I really confused? Thanks

If the board was not grounded the machine would not work at all.  All the other connections to it requires a ground too.  Ground is common too all the circuits. What you have is a flaky mother board.  It's best just to change it out.

As it turns out the board he swapped out was the processor board when the problem appeared in another machine, not the mother board.

Could some one tell me what part of the cpu board controls the bill door or does anybody have a schematic of a s2000 or vision? Does ram go bad on a cpu board?
