Title: Base eprom fly error -0xf004 after slot is idle for a while
Post by: U.S.AutoService on August 31, 2009, 11:32:46 PM
I have a s2000 (one of 23) and if I turn it on and it sit idle for a while it come back with error code (Base eprom fly error -0xf004)  I turn the reset key once and then it says to hold the reset button for 2 seconds (kinda like a chip 17 reset without the chip) and I do that,  after a few more steps the slot is back up and running. ( I loose all credits ) but it works again, as long as it is being played it seems to work OK, but leave it idle for a while and it acts up.  Any one have this happen to them ?

Thanks

i haven't had that, but it could be a battery issue (low).

what only 23?, you should get a few more...

Could it really be a battery if I don't unplug the machine ?  Also the machine was made in 2003, how long does a battery last ?  It doesn't loose everything in the memory, just the credits get tossed .

BTW, I only have 23 s2000's, (all 4 Wild Things) I have a hand full of Williams and some older s+'s and a Bally too.  I only started collecting these toys less than a year ago, went to Vegas and got hooked.  Now I have a room full of slots.
