What a great question  -  I would bet some members have 25+ and would love to know what's under their roofs.   :89-

I personally have 4 -

IGT S+
IGT REEL PLUS
WMS 40X
BALLY 6000

I love each one and don't think I would every sell any of them.   It is truly is addicting -  but I find it in a good way - I have been spending MUCH less money in the casino.  I love playing with my slots at home and I find myself looking at the machines rather than playing them in the casino.

On a serious note I have none, as it is illegal here in Australia, I noticed all the boys talking about their babies and them breeding etc, so I
thought I would ask.  :89-

Whether you have 1 or 50, they are nice to have around to play or as a conversation piece.  Most in my family think I am nuts for having them...sigh.  I have actually found that I enjoy rebuilding them as much or more than actually playing them....now that might be nuts.   :5-

Oh my that didn't come out right-   I edited it.

I'm with you Jim-

The special project I'm working on now as well as the Diamonds and Devils machine - I enjoy working on them more than playing them too.

That's unfortunate about the legality however it is illegal in many states here in the U.S. too.

You could all retire early if you all put in and bought your own bar, then that takes care of the storage.  :89-

I am a piker with just 3 slots and a Video poker but I have a lot of Progessive signage.
Each of the slots have the IGT mini-photon as their second level (standalone) progressive.
I have a CON1 driving 3 displays in the slots as their primary progressive, a gateway to display the progressive amount on the PE+ screen.
I then have a 1x2 overhead and soon to be a 2 x 9.... over the bar. It used to be a 1x10 in the old house.

I forgot to mention this machine too.  It's not parts complete.  Missing the MPU board, coin comparitor and monitor but the case is in excellent shape.

2 slots (1 S+, 1 Vision, and a couple game kits for each), and a Mikohn 1x3, a 2x3, a couple CHAMII+es, a CON1 with gateway and a CON2I.

I'm searching for a way to double my room without having to move, it's turning out to be quite the engineering challenge. :186-  :71-  :72-

I weigh in on the light side around here, with 13 machines, not all slots.

3 S+ (1 ea: RT, 16", 9") with somewhere around 30 kits, several with multiple styles of award glass
2 Bally EMs (one is a Money Honey with first generation glass and strip artwork)
2 Bally 5500's. One 4-reeler, and one collectible light-wand type with a CHAMII+ from the SpaceQuest casino at the Las Vegas Hilton
1 Wms DOT with 3 kits (Mermaid's Gold, Jackpot Party, X-Factor)
1 Bally Game Maker, 13"
1 Pachislo (Fire Drift)
2 Pachinkos (Star Wars, and one slot-type with no English name)
1 Wms pinball (ST:TNG)

I think playing with yourself at home is a much better option than doing it at a casino  :72- :72- and means that you won't be arrested......

2 S+'s Roundtop and 9" (I also have a 16" topbox I can convert them at any time)
1 WMS 550 slot upgraded with CPUNXT board, but also have the legacy hardware to convert it back.
Bally EM 809 "lowboy"
1 Pachinko (not a pachislot, but the one with the little silver balls).

Would like an S2000, but I have not room yet.  I need to figure something out.  The negotiations with the other 1/2 of the empire have not fared well.

Here is what I currently have at home, not into quantity, as much as quality. Never was really about how many I can get.  I like what I like, and try to find a nice example, simple as that.  Has taken me many years to acquire this stuff, and hard to let it go to make room for something else, as each piece has its own story to tell.

3-17" IGT  RT iGame Pluses/One 044 Platform House of the Dead, Monster Mansion,Texas Tea
1-19" IGT iGame Chop Top (various)
1-17" IGT iGame Chop (Creature)
1-WMS Bluebird Chop
1-Odyssey, not currently working
1-IGT Barcrest Quack Shot, (work in progress)
1-IGT S-2000 (Mummy)
1-IGT Reel Touch (Lucky Larry's)
1-IGT Ms LGM 5 Reel  Vision Chop Top
1-IGT Ms LGM 3 Reel RT Vision
3-Stern Pinballs
5-Bally Pinballs

I think the post was originally intended to see how many Slots, etc. members had in their collection. Not what they had for sale, route, etc. I believe I speak for most of us here, if I had 150 IGTs in my home, for personal use, there would be no room for anything else.

Games, Inc "Casino", electric machine made by Clarence Schuyler
Keeney "Wild Arrow", one of 50 built for Jack Lavigna and the first machine with a hopper
Dale "Pokermatic", the first automatic-paying poker machine
Bally/Raven "Computer Poker", Si Redd's rip-off of the Pokermatic
Bally/Raven "Computer 21", another Si Redd machine
Gamex "New Manix", unusual Japanese bar-top slot
Wulff "Bingolett", German flip-ball bingo game
Wulff "Novomat", German 3-reel mechanical slot
Mills "400", 3-line pay electric
Aristocrat/IGT "Esprit" 5-reel 3-line pay

And a pinball...

I have 32,  Mostly all s-2000 type/based.  Have only one s plus which I am going to sell and it has been in the "mothballs" here wrapped up in plastic wrap.  Have two Bally 6000's,1-Konami-lcd, 1-mikohn/sigma-yahtzee,11-williams 400 series mostly all dot,  just to name a few of them.  I really cannot go into all the specific titles as there are too many here!.  I like to build/fix these things as much as playing them also as stated from some other members here.  I am a senior-master tech. for a large manufacturer but I really enjoy building/reparing/diagnosing these things as it takes my mind of other headaches-But sometimes these can become a Pain in the *** to repair as well-Oh well I like it as it is fun to me.  -B.

I love the older games.  In fact I traded up - a Bally 5500 to a 6000 and I'm sad about it.  Even though I saved the Double Blazing 7's kit - I just miss my 5500.

Wow!  How does the breeding work with the lights off?  I started with only 1 Bally video machine and then I woke up a few days ago with 3 more machines in which only 1 is identified as an Aristocrat Espirit (thanks to you guys) and 2 other Aristocrats yet unidentified!  Doesn't it usually take 2 to start the breeding?  lol

Yes,
Since the beginning of time - it does take two to breed.

But, our problem is that we get cross-eyed when we hear about other machines within grasp... :183- :184-
therefore, we see double all the time...:127-
And these machines multiply mysteriously in the dark.... :96-

Title: Re: Who has the most slots at home ?

The part that really sucks is I recently found a guy with 1000's of machines that need repair, he's offered me nice prices so it's very possible that the multiplying is going to happen in again soon in great numbers!  Since I'm just getting into the hobby, I'm going to have to learn fast how to identify and repair these things!  I hope people here can help!

Everything that's not the latest in the casinos.  He buys large lots from leasing companies, everything from pinball machines to reel machines to videos...you name it he's probably got it.  He' trying to dig up a couple of 3-5 reel Diamonds for me.

Delma,

I think the layout depends on what space you have available. If you have a floor plan to post I am sure some of the guys would have some cool ideas.

In finishing mine I ran lots of electrical. It might be over kill but I ran 1 breaker per wall for the floor outlets. I then ran a seperate set of outlets at the 7ft level.
At the 7ft level I have my neon bar signs plugged in, and my progressives. For the four walls I ran two breakers. Lighting is on a separate breaker.
I don't ever think I will use that much power but its not that much extra money. Escentially I did 7 home runs (runs back from the room to the breaker panel) where most people would do no more than 3. So at about $30 per spool of wire the added cost was $120 (for 4 extra spools) and about $70 for extra breakers.

I may (or may not) put a hot tub outside so I ran #6 wire from the panel to the back of the house and left it coiled in a weather proof box. I also did the same with a regular run of 120v. I did not bother to install the breakers but left a pile of it coiled up by the breaker panel to connect at some future date. This way when I installed my drywall ceiling I knew I would never have to pull it out again.

I also have home theater - 120" projection. I ran 2 x 25ft HDMI cables from the projector. I am only using one.  I have a high end harmony universal remote and use a wireless extender. This is basically a little LED adapter that sits over the eye on each peice of my stereo equipment. I ran one of these from the projector back to the rest of my equipment. This allows me not to have to point my remote at anything specific. The rest of the equipment is behind a wall so its important to have these eye adapters run.

I ran 20g speaker wire to anywhere I thought I might want a speaker. The system is a 7.1 but If I was ever to connect up a speaker to each one it would be more like a 18.1 system. Powered Subwoofers like to use sheilded cable so I ran coax to about 5 locations along side my speaker wire.

If you are looking for wall plates (for speakers), electric screens, in wall speakers, speaker wire, HDMI cables, wall bracket or other home theater do-dads I would strongly recommend www.monoprice.com and/or www.trianglecables.com saved me a fortune vs going to places like Radio Shack, Best buy or most retail locations.

#20 is a tad small...unless it's a 25 or 70 volt speaker system.....
If you look at the picture I have of the "theater" you will see a 5 foot tall JBL subwoofer.
I ran the lowlevel signal to it and put the amplifier on top of it. It requires around 400 watts
to begin to work correctly, likes 1200 watts of power.
It's a very old JBL theater box. It's on the 3rd floor, but you can feel it on all floors and next door :)

Thanks :)
I run them on weekends for a few hours here and there, but the rest of the time they are asleep...

That's cool - that's exactly what I do too -   except for the reel touch   - that stays on 99% of the time.  The only down times are when I'm playing with the motherboard or hard drive.

It is right!  It's like deal or no deal circa 1990.   I was in the flamingo recently and found so many old games that they were new again!

Maybe that's the casino's plan - keep the machines so long that people forget about the old games and think that there new again.

Reborn from the dead.....

The old "Pinball" Vision is now a Double Diamond Deluxe bonus wheel (I forgot to change the reel glass)
I have to polish up the door, install the bezel around the bill acceptor, install the round
bonus spin button..... but it's mostly complete
The Double Diamond Deluxe S+ is for a customer. it WAS a
"Rapid Jackpot" 4 coin in machine I had out in the garage. I think she will
be happy......

Nice BB.  The topic here is " Who has the most slots at home?".  I know for sure it isn't me-- :8- :208-.  Merry X-mas.  B.  :224-.

Well you could say that 1 BB is equal to 12 Bally 6000 machines.  At least in price.  :208-

I do not even know about that munch.  Some people can buy a s-6000 depending on bulk etc. but usually no more than 75.00 bucks each.  so 12 x 75.00 is not going to get you a Bird- :60- :25- :8-.  B.

Kirk,  Was that the one you got at a pawn shop or was it one of those i-games you have- :103-,  I forgot.  Perhaps the BB was a X-Mas gift from one of your buddies  :103- :79-.  Merry X-mas,   :227-.  B.

Munch,  4800.00 clams is more in the ball park.  I know where some of these are at for 500.00 each;  Only hitch is you have to spend about 30k in misc. langyappe to get them--(other machines).   :25-.  They Usually always will have some "Pot-Sweetners" in a casino auction etc..  Then when you do get them all there is absoultley no gurantee on what you are exactly getting--This can be expensive and costly in my opinion.  Just my .0001 half cent-- :5-.  B.

The BB was from a "SuperPawn" here in Vegas. I paid $2800 for it. Shop owner figured it was broken, he didnt know that a BB takes the better part of 10 minutes to finally decompress the Linux files and kernal and finally boot up.
I offered to simply take that dead machine off his hands.
I'm a "Giver"  what can I say. I bet he laughed all night
about dumping that dead machine on that old guy :)
BTW, it did need a hopper over-run cleared.....

I think it's real.  There's talk about huge lines now because of the show.  The place is supposed to be a dump too.

The program" Cheaters" with slimeball Joey Greko got busted when he was SUPPOSEDLY assaulted (Knifed) during a episode of "Cheaters"
Where they made their mistake was ALL incidents with a local police dept become public in a hurry. When a inquiry was made into getting a copy
of the "Report", the local police dept. HAD NOTHING,ZERO,ZILCH,NADA.Neither did the local fire dept, rescue ambulance companies. On TV he was a bloodied
mess.
The conclusion, IT NEVER HAPPENED :)
CSI Vegas.....a few shots are used over and over, but CSI vegas is shot in LOS ANGELES!!!
Most pawn shops are a total ripoff. if you ever see a pawn slip, you will be blown away by the interest, usually between 100 and 300 PERCENT! If you borrow $10 for a month, you will pay close to $21 (Hock an item worth $10).
"Repo Man" is fake, i watched a episode(Supposedly) in Los Angeles. They called the officers "LAPD", BUT....the uniforms were inaccurate, the cars were not "LAPD issue" vehicles, clearly studio cars all the way. The handheld radios were not the correct issue. I worked LA for 22 years, I should know.
So...Cheaters is fake, Repo man is fake...I highly suspect Pawn Stars is fake too. Watch the credits at the end of the show, see if they thank the local store....

Thanks Barry,
i'm lucky, a lot of the people here in Vegas are quite easy to work with. With the flood of machines here, getting something nice is pretty easy.
Parts are pretty easy to locate too....

Kirk,  I agree with you.  You are virtually in the middle of "eden" as far as machines/parts goes from what I have seen.  Your games etc. can give us enjoyment and hope here and elsewhere for others.  Thanks-B777  K+
