Title: How to change to a round top machine
Post by: grumpy on September 07, 2009, 04:21:34 PM
I have a IGT S 3 coin  upright square top and really like the round top feature. Is it a ton of work to change from one to the other I am assuming that you can purchase a round top for it. My machine is a 10 times pay .25.Thanke you for any help with this.

It's not that much work, but you probably won't want to be swapping it out on a whim every weekend just to have fresh game kits for your guests.

One thing to check is whether your machine has a seam (a break in the laminate) where the top meets the machine, or whether the laminate is one piece from top to bottom. This can occur if someone refinished the machine at some point. If yours is one piece (unlikely), you will need to cut it for your first top change, and there's a risk of damaging the laminate when you do so. Otherwise, you only have to remove a few nuts.

The hard part might be finding a top with laminate that matches your current machine, although the most common styles might not be too difficult to find -- unless you don't care about that, or are willing to re-laminate everything to match.

My machine has a seam so that should be no problem.I am assuming all wireing to lights and topper candle would be about standard. All i have to do now is watch for a Game set and a round top. Thanks for the prompt reply.Grumpy

Yes, the wiring is standard and you'll just have to disconnect the Molex connectors.

I do it the hard way. I slip a sliver of folded paper into the groove somewhere near the top of the glass. It prevents the rattle and is completely invisible. When I remove the glass it just falls out and I reuse it or make another if I lose it. :5- It costs a fortune -- at least 1/100 of a cent. :30- :72- :72-

I think the awards are crooked?
Jeesh, looks like somebody just stuck them on the back of the glass or something.
The pay structure is horrible... :5-

The pay structure is correct. The bonus for the 4th coin is listed on the belly glass for that kit. You ADD the bottom bonus to the top. So for max bet, you get 2000 coins on the first payline, 4000 coins on the second, and 8000 on the third. The fourth coin also pays 1000 coins for three blue 7's in any position (but not if all three are on the same payline).

<PS> What's interesting is that the payback is the same regardless of how many coins you play. The 4th coin bonus pays as much for that single coin on its own as each of the first three coins pays on its own line. On the 97.4% chip, there is only a discrepancy of 100 coins out of 280.000.

no those are the correct pay outs the glass does not have decals its the picture i guess .. im giving to much away lol

WHO OR WHAT ORGANAZATION?? KNOWN TO ALL OF US ..ARE KNOWN TO PAY SH@T ON THERE SLOTS ?

boy i figured someone new or old would pick up on this fast ??

You are referring to the military version of the game, but you only posted the top award glass, which is the same for both the military and commercial versions. It is the bonus payouts on the belly glass that are different.

Okay, something is weird with my connection. This is the third time that I did not see someone else's response before posting, and I wasn't warned that there was another post either. :103- :37- Rocket, I didn't see your last post.

That's weird? :5-
