it takes a while sometimes for it to fully charge up... then open and close the door, play a few games, the error code should go away. :89- Title: Re: batery low Post by: idesign on September 10, 2009, 07:46:20 PM The battery is a button cell, not rechargeable. Is that what you changed?

Welcome to NLG did you test the new battery to see if it's a good one Also check the battery holder to see if there is any corrosion that may be preventing good contact with the battery Wes Title: Re: batery low Post by: Rene on September 11, 2009, 12:18:27 PM HI. Title: Re: batery low Post by: hedgee on February 11, 2010, 10:54:16 PM I have an I Game with a message with battery Low. I replced batteries on S+ games which were very easy. can anyone tell me how to replace the battery on this one???
Title: Re: batery low Post by: a69mopar on February 11, 2010, 11:00:48 PM Similar process, the board needs to be removed from the tray since the battery solders through the board, you use a soldering iron, heat up the solder, remove the battery, and solder in a new one. Be careful not to short the battery by touching both sides with your fingers, or anything else of course.
Thanks, Wayne Title: Re: batery low Post by: hedgee on February 11, 2010, 11:03:04 PM what type and volt battery is it? Can I get this at a local electronic shop??
Title: Re: batery low Post by: a69mopar on February 11, 2010, 11:05:57 PM 3 volt, I use BR2335, although they come with BR2330 also. You would have to check your electronics store.
Thanks, Wayne Title: Re: batery low Post by: hedgee on February 11, 2010, 11:06:53 PM Thank You!!!

Title: Re: batery low Post by: KirkLasVegas on February 11, 2010, 11:21:19 PM Karma for both of you guys!! Here is the "Deal" on batteries... It's a low current backup source for the RAM. It needs to be Lithium,It DOES NOT recharge! You can use a Coin battery with solder tabs... You can use a Coin battery holder and use a CR series coin battery designed for remotes and wrist watches (available at Walmart and radio shack) You can use a Cylinder style battery, as long as it fits on the board.. You can use 2 regular alkaline Duracell "AA" batteries in a holder mounted remotely DO NOT use... NiCad rechargables NiMH rechargables Lithium Ion rechargables These batteries have a POOR "Shelf Life" and will discharge in a short amount of time... Kirk They use a Nicd on all of their slot boards. They do not have a low battery error code either. And I've never had a low battery?? The biggest problem is with age, they can start to leak and damage the board. So, for Uni owners only, check it at least once a year for signs of leakage. (a salty residue on the battery) Replace when necessary. |
