Along the bottom of the board is a socketed chip with a white label. It should have an RS number on it...... Post by: Jim on September 18, 2009, 11:02:37 AM your machine is a S model you can tell by the three plugs needed for the logic board. you can have different games, only games like double diamond ,rwb, wild cherry, etc. no nudge games or re spin types. the game does not use a SP chip. its game numbers are preceded by a RS-XXXX. on most data sheets they will post the RS out in the margin if it is compatabile with a S model. I never saw a red wire like that before, it must be a direct line to something that was broke.
M series boards were mounted on a tray and went into a card cage above the reel mech. M+ boards were closer to S+ boards in the fact that they were mounted and installed like the card cage of a S+ Jim Title: Re: Jackpot Jungle Board Photos (S or S Plus?) The red wire Jim mentioned is going to the positive terminal for the battery location. The negative wire is there too but hard to see because the photo is so dark. What I'm curious of however, is if I get a 64 error (bad EPROM), which EPROM needs replaced? It hasn't happend, I'm just trying to get a feel for parts availability for this thing.
And yes, it does have a 3AA battery pack installed, which for me is good because I'm not solder smart. |
