Post by: StatFreak on October 06, 2009, 09:32:26 PM Here are some pictures. The battery is a standard lithium 3.6v full AA (although mine has been replaced once by a former owner).
Is it possible that the jumper for W17 is missing or set to "off"? :103- (circled in the picture) Title: Re: gamemaker battery problem ????? Post by: stayouttadabunker on October 06, 2009, 10:04:22 PM It sounds like that jumper's sole purpose is to "enable" the battery?

Yup, just like the Bally ProSlot boards. The "Off" pin is dead (isolated). It's only there as a place to hang the jumper so that it doesn't get lost. I guess that Bally knew that their board designs would eat up batteries so they added these disconnect jumpers to save the batteries during shipment and storage. They'd have done better to design their boards to use less current to retain the memory. Title: Re: gamemaker battery problem ?????
