Only has one button on the deck and it's the change button, every thing else is touch screen, I think it's a 19" screen. My question is does any one have any info on this machine? Thought I would try to get fixed, and if not Joey is talking about shooting a slot machine with a 12 GA, maybe I will take him a target!!

But it is well built, the door still closes like a brand new one. The BV 145 SH is mounted on a set of roller brackets much like a file cabinet, and it still takes dollar bills I don't know where the credits goes but it takes my money. and the coin comparator CC 16 it only has two wires, bottom pin and next one up. For $30 I didn't expect a Game King!! :208-

it looks like a pretty machine except for the engine block red color inside....LOL I just noticed the DBV comes through the left side of the belly glass...that's a little odd, huh? In the early 80's, they started calling computer boards "PCB" boards which stood for "Printed Circuit Board"... It was also referred to as PWB (Printed Wiring Board)... or even PCBA (Printed Circiut Board Assembly) Arghhh!!! Nowadays, there are so many "Printed Circuit Boards" in machines that they changed the names to show the difference...a little... The other name which confuses people a lot is CPU (Central Processing Unit) which is really the main chip under the big heat sink in home computers... Of course, in gaming machines, we have the "Backplane" boards and "Motherboards" - which isn't the same as home computers. I was looking for a RAM clear button or mini toggle switch on that board, but don't see one. You should try removing the CMOS chip and then reinstall it. That may clear it. Title: Re: Players Choice Post by: knagl on October 13, 2009, 02:48:48 AM For what it's worth, I've seen those "Player's Choice" machines in several smaller bars in Las Vegas that have gaming. The ones I've seen are attached to a central computer so that when you cash out it prints on the printer behind the bar and the bartender pays you. Obviously that's not the case for all of them as the one you have pictured has a hopper. I think I know of some pictures of the screen when it's in operation -- I'll try and find them and post them here.

I had a poker machine by Merit that I fixed one time... it had a "Dallas" RAM chip on it... I ordered a exact new one from mouser or digikey... I don't remember where, but, when I put the new ram chip in, the scrambled screen went away for good... Now, I'm guessing that the scramble screen is due to a bad RAM chip but yours may be different. The Dallas ram chip had a built in battery that was dead in it... I'm wondering if that's the sort of thing that's going on with yours in a way? Try changing the battery on the board if there's one...or if you have a ram chip that is the same as the one you have on yours - swap it and see if you clear up your screen? |
