Title: Shipping cost of machine?
Post by: roupcat on October 11, 2009, 01:02:57 PM
In general how can I estimate the cost of shipping a complete machine? Does it go by weight, size, and distance? Can anyone give me examples.

You can go to R&L Carriers website and plug in your information to get a cost.

Classification - Slot Machines are in Class 110.

Weight, size and distance determines cost.

Location - Very rural and larger inner city locations also adds additional cost.

Residential Delivery is an additional cost.

Some carriers charge for liftgate service.

If you know someone with an account with a common carrier they will probably receive some type of discount. The more they ship the better the discount.

As RMS mentions .. Knowing how to package an item correctly is very important to avoid damage.

Thanks for the replys. I got a zip code cost estimate from R&L and Fedx and it exceeds the value of the machine.

Dan,

Just a side note on shipping if you pick it up at a local terminal
you can save anywhere from $50-150 they charge allot more to drop it off at your door.
