Title: From S to S+ Post by: jstraa on October 14, 2009, 12:58:52 PM I bought a round top machine for cheap (in europe) it had a game in it called Jackpot Jungle.
Actually the machine is exact the same as on the manual you see sometimes. When I got it, it had a battery error, so I replaced the board and desided to put in a Triple Jackpot game in it, nice game, looks much better. But I can't seem to reset/clear it! Did I buy a S or a S+ game? The main board is located on the left instead of the back. And behind my belly glass there was some weird sensor pointing towards the player. The door is different too. How can I see that it's a S / S+ ? I keep getting 65-1 and 61-1 and 65-3 errors, I think I've cleared it about 20 times now. Any help is greatly appreciated! Print a page and hold it in your hand while clearing codes... you'll learn them all quickly enough!>>> http://www.newlifegames.net/igterrors/ (http://www.newlifegames.net/igterrors/) Title: Re: From S to S+ Post by: Yoeddy1 on October 14, 2009, 04:37:11 PM I bought a round top machine for cheap (in europe) it had a game in it called Jackpot Jungle. Jeroen Just out of curiosity do you have any photos that you could share? I have a Jackpot Jungle too which the members here have identified as an S. Search on "Jackpot Jungle" and you'll see all of my stories with mine. Title: Re: From S to S+ Post by: jstraa on October 14, 2009, 04:51:51 PM Hi,
Ask Ashyron, I gave away my game kit to him. Can you tell me what about the differences between an S an S+ ? He installed the kit in a S+ machine and it works, so it probably is an (early?) S+. Thanks, Jeroen Title: Re: From S to S+ Post by: jstraa on October 14, 2009, 05:31:44 PM (http://www.slotsdirect.com/igtmanual.jpg)That's the exact model I got ...

Title: Re: From S to S+ Post by: knagl on October 14, 2009, 08:31:52 PM Did I buy a S or a S+ game? :211- The easiest way to tell is if you remove the MPU board (with the power off, of course), and post a picture of it. Here's the link to the ebay auction Title: Re: From S to S+ Post by: knagl on October 14, 2009, 09:29:33 PM We need a picture of the MPU board in your machine -- not a picture of the manual. :5-

Title: Re: From S to S+ Post by: Jim on October 16, 2009, 07:39:57 PM the S model has the board mounted in the back of the machine. It has three plugs that go to it ,two on the top and one on the right side. these are manual plug in type connectors.
The S+ the earlier model had the board on the left side of the machine. no bill acceptors were on these machines. however they did have the electronics to support it. That's why they came up with the side mount units. This board mounts on a tray and aligns so the connectors line up by virtue of inserting into the card cage rack. The second version allowed for a embed bill acceptor, thus they moved the board to the back, moved the hopper over and put in the bill acceptor. the board also has a SP chip on it ( S models only have a RSXXXX chip, and only support single type games e.g. no nudge, spin to win etc.) . I am guessing you have a S+ model and all clears and operations should apply as you read in the posts. hope this clears up the difference between the two. Jim |
