CAN A IGT S MACHNIE BE CONVERTED TO A S+ MACHINE?

The short answer is no. Anything is possible, but it wouldn't be worth the effort, cost, or time.

By the time you do all the upgrades and stuff,
you'll wish you would of saved just a little more to buy an S+ or an S2000.

I'm thinking of doing the same, I have an S+ so is it just part it out and put it in? (the S is round top and connected to the cabinet)

I have never done it actually so I don't know if the hardware is the correct sizes to fit the S+ cabinet.
One thing for sure, the Mainboard and wiring harness is totally different from an S+.

Are you sure that the round top is connected to the cabinet? I'm not sure about the S, but with the S+ it's more likely that a standard removable top was re-laminated using a single piece of laminate. That would make it appear to be one piece on the outside, but one would only have to cut the laminate at the seam to be able to remove the top box.

I've never messed with an S cabinet though, so it may be one piece as you say, but if it turns out otherwise, you might be able to move the RT to your S+ and save yourself a lot of work.

Just a thought.

That's true, S+ machines have removable tops. I haven't looked for myself but I will
check it out that would be much much easier!
