I spotted this activity on my classified Spy Sat, it looks like the poor economy is taking it's toll, and the NLG Command Center is forced to move!!!  :8- :8- :8-

We have loved the current shop, and it's perfect location for the 4th of July Fireworks, but the economy is taking it's toll on people's discretionary money and they are not buying Slots of toys!  :37- :37- :37-

We are moving just down the street to a slightly smaller, but more affordable location so that we can continue to support our loyal customers!  :89- :89- :89-

The new showroom will be nice, and we will just have to keep extra machines and inventory off site, but that is better than the alternative!  :58- :58- :58-

Hopefully business will continue to pick up!  :89- :71- :89-

Wish I could be there!

I was going to grab a flight out tonight (couldn't afford the drive time) but got hung up with my realtor, I may have finally found a house in my price range that meets my criteria. Now it's all about the negotiation and beating out the families with 3 generations trying to move in.

Hope you have all the bodies you need for the move, let me know if there's anything left for next weekend.

Finally a street view! I like the corner location, great visibility. Just behind it is a Dry cleaners, and to the right in the same lot is a Jet Ski Place. I am hoping that these establishments will have alot of "people traffic" and bring people into the store! The corner windows should be great, especially at night, for attracting customers as well. :3- :3- :3-

Just a small update David and I had to come home last night. David is going back tomorrow and I'm going back Tue. early AM. The new shop is really close and across the street. maybe a 1/4 mile ( close enough Joey was going to take two machines that are on a pallet and move them to the new shop with a pallet jack down the sidewalk and across the street, we talked him out of it, didn't want him to get a speeding ticket going down Hwy 95 ) Almost every thing in the show room got moved, today they are starting on the tec room it's going to be a BITCH. Odis had to be put in storage, the ceilings is to low in new show room. Joey just got a idea, talk to your land lord and we can put in a sky light above Odie that will give enough room for him with out hitting his head !! David took some Pic's I'm sure he will be on afterwhile with his update.

Not too far off. This house had the attached 2 car garage turned into a family room, which would be prefect for pins, slots, and full size pool table. It has 2x30A 120v service, since the garage originally had washer/dryer outlets. However, anyone that knows me understands I can't live without a garage (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=3684.0 (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=3684.0)), and this had a newly constructed 4 car garage (think 2x2 car garages together lengthwise, so 2 cars wide by 2 cars long) with rolllup doors on either end, and on a 10k+ lot. My garage requirement has kept me out of a lot of places, but as a professional mechanic for 23 years before my career change, I have too much tools and equipment, plus all the motorcycles, for a normal sized garage. I'd just stay in my current place, but it's only got room for 2 slots, and that's just not an option any more. :208- :208- :208-

All this and listed at $525k, which is cheap for this area. My realtor (a guy I used to work with up until he got realigned during our last round of layoffs) showed it to me Friday night, and I said pull the trigger. He called me a couple hours later and said the open house was Sat/Sun from 1-4 pm, and they wouldn't accept any offers until the open house. He called me yesterday morning and said he called the realtor again, who told him that there was an offer made Saturday morning and it was accepted. :30- :30- :30- :30- :30- :30- :30- :30- :30- :30- :30- :30- :30- :30- :30-

Needless to say, I was hopping mad, it ruined my whole weekend. I'd have gone over what the accepted offer was, but never even got the chance.

 I'd have much rather spent the weekend in Bullhead City moving the Command Center with a bunch of friends than deal with this crap. :81- :81- :81-

Hey Guys!

Buzz & I got back around midnight Sunday morning and spent three hours chewing the fat, so I got home around 4am. I've been packing and cleaning to get ready to head out in a few hours so I haven't had any time to catch up on the posts and probably will be offline most of next week unless we can get the internet up at the new store and there is time for some fun.

I took my camera -- I had to, because it's surgically attached at the hip. :30- :127-

Here are two pictures of the sunrise on the open desert as we made our way to headquarters Friday morning.

The time stamp on all of these pictures is right for Bullhead City but wrong for my camera because I forgot to set the time back an hour last week. :5-

We spent the first few hours moving merchandise and thousands of very HEAVY tokens, so even after several hours it didn't "look" like we'd done that much.
Here's a pic of Joey, and one of Buzz reading a post at Joey's desk in the tech area in the back.

The old store is really starting to empty out. It's amazing how big it really is, especially when you consider that the back quarter of the store is still behind the trellis.

The hallway. The first hallway turn to the left goes to Joey's tech room and the restroom. Opposite that to the right is a another room (not visible in the picture). The small alcove with the water bottle will be the "kitchen". The kids' room is at the end of the hall on the right -- just follow the slots. :72-

Joey's tech room has two reception-type windows that look into the hallways, so he won't be isolated while he's working back there.  :71-

And finally, a picture of the kids' room. Spot the Dot took the move in stride and is already at home. For those who don't know, he lives in that round top slot machine that's on the floor. You can see him on the "penthouse" in the picture. I didn't get a shot of the hamster in its habitrail, but he's also settled in.

The refrigerator is already up and running, as you can see on the right. The second refrigerator and the large chest freezer had to go to the house, as there wasn't enough room for them at the new location. The slushie, hot dog, and popcorn machines will probably also end up in storage.

Mark you seem to always come up with great idea's The 7  ( in pic's only 6 ) machines with their backs to the window, I think should be placed on some kind of turn table. After the sun passes overhead and are in the shade, rotated facing the street. In the dark with them all lit up would be hard not to notice them. JMO  :103- :103-  now I've tossed out the bait need a good idea on how make a good SAFE turn table

They could be put on lazy susans but
you'd need some kind of a stopper so the electrical cord doesn't wind out and
some modified chute to divert to drop coins into a single bucket?
At the ends of the stoppers, a small metal latch that could hold the machine in its rotated position
so it doesn't turn around every time someone yanks on the handle...
It's not an easy thingamajig to make with a 250lb. slot machine sitting on the whole thing.

I don't think the coin chute is a issue not played that much ( can't be played when rotated anyway.) I'm thinking along the lines of a metal plate same size as bottom of machine, weld a      1 1/2 piece of pipe in the center and drill the slot stand just a little bigger, now mount some bearings on the metal plate or just sit the whole thing on a  Teflon pad. your right it does need some kind of stop. maybe a small ear welded to the metal plate with a hole in it, drill the slot stand and drop a pin in it,  I hope someone will come up with some idea's better than mine. Let me add I do have all the welder's,  torch,  plasma cutter, grinders  drills and what ever else would be needed ( operator to do all this PISS poor ) :103- :103- :99- :99-

It's been awhile since I've last donated...so it's time again!  This is the best forum of any kind I belong to - the members here go way above and beyond - I've had members send me parts I've needed without charging me a thing - not even to cover shipping costs - and this has happened more than once from more than one person.  I would also not have the nice slot machines I currently own if it were not for this site - thanks for supporting my addiction hobby.

Only problem is now I'm spoiled and I always find myself compairing other forums to NLG....

If so he (and you) is a genius, and great minds think alike, sorta.  :5- :72- :5- A few days ago I had suggested to Joey that a row of slots be facing the Window for excellent nite advertising, but I guess that there would not be enough room to have the aisles fit properly. I was thinking that you could still walk in front of the machines too... Was hard to judge never being in the room of course. :25-

Hi Everyone,
   I arrived home from my Laughlin trip a few hours ago, I have ton's of emails and calls to go through, but wanted to post here before i got into them all.

  It was a pleasure to meet with "Stat", Buzz, Joey, and all the family.  I enjoyed my day "helping out", and only hope that I will be as agile as Buzz when I'm older. Pops kept at it non stop along with another friend who's name escapes me, everybody pitched in and I think Scotty is glad that I left because We had him working hard along with his sister who's name also escapes me. we ended the day with a poker table discussion that could have gone all night if we let it, I really enjoyed the day and ended it with a trip to In and Out. 

   "Stat was such a great guy that he took my wife and I to Vegas for the Thursday and we had a great time, returning late with me dozing in the back and my wife conversing in the front with Stat.

I look forward to the next time we can get together.

I forgot to post that Jonathan stropped by the Comd. center last Thur. Took time from his Vegas trip to come to Bullhead, and with the move in progress  had no time to BS with him . At least got to meet one more member, sorry Munch, next time.

Buzz It was great to meet you! Even if it was only for a short period of time.  I really appreciate all hard work everyone has put into the move.  To see the old and new place was just great.

What a beautiful day, going through (and moving) slot machines and parts, shooting the breeze along the way, and a sit down afterwards, all in the best of company that could be imagined.  Here's a pic of Stat, Buzz, and myself in front of Joeys new "high visibility" location, I only wish Joey and "Pops" were in the pic also.  I look forward to my next visit.

Damn Joey I wish I would have read this posting before we left, I arrived on the Friday night and would have loved to help out, and there is always your mates down the road from the chicken shop who were so helpful in my quest in finding The Valley of fire that I had stumbled upon NLG.
