Title: Bally s5500 Error Code 24 Post by: TTJACKPOT on November 06, 2009, 03:35:56 PM Every once in a while my machine will give me an error code 24 (Coin Reverse)-Strange occurance since this error code pops up whewn I open the door--not when a coin is inserted--if I close the door it will clear. My guess it has to do with the coin comparitor--if anyone has a clue of why this happens I would appreciate it--also I am still looking for game chips (SMI 7560) for my Bally Bonus Blazing Sevens machine--no luck in finding anything yet--John

Just the mere fact of opening the door is causing a component on the optic board to momentarily loose good contact and shooting off the "24" error code. Jiggle the board's connector wires and see if that will cause the code to pop up. Try a swap with a known good one to see if that error code stays away. :71- Title: Re: Bally s5500 Error Code 24 Post by: TTJACKPOT on November 07, 2009, 12:49:16 PM Thanks for the reply--it appears that the comparitor is the culpert--the inside portion is real loose--when i jiggle the wires it gives me a 24--going to replace the comparitor--thanks again and I will stay out of the BUNKER--John
