Title: OK..there is a method to my "Madness" Post by: KirkLasVegas on November 11, 2009, 10:48:40 PM Purchased from a "SuperPawn" here in Las Vegas.
You NEVER-EVER know what will show up in a pawn shop! this is a good example of that! Now you know why I sold a few other machines :) Right place, right time....... Kirk Title: Re: OK..there is a method to my "Madness" Post by: tacman on November 11, 2009, 10:55:41 PM Nice move! :185-

Title: Re: OK..there is a method to my "Madness" Post by: KirkLasVegas on November 12, 2009, 12:55:29 AM hmmm... now who would pawn a slot machine Might be the same person that pawned their Harley-Davidson...they have quite a few of those in there too, but NOT great deals....You know how a pawn shop works right? You pawn the item for a certain amount of time.you dont return, so they sell it for their investment AND what they think the traffic will pay. Times are tough right now, so great deals can be had.A friend of mine told me they had a "Video Slot" in the store and thought it was more than a "poker" machine.... So I checked it out, pretended to not be real interested in it and as the thoughtful/considerate dolt that I am..I help him out of a jam.... He said he plugs it in and it lights up, but nothing but some text appears on the screen.he said there is no game in it...just gibberish on the screen. He was right! you turn it on, and gibberish DOES appear on the screen..for 10 MINUTES! then..it goes into the program.....no one waited 10 minutes for it to do anything and it doesnt really tell you excatly WHAT it is doing.... And for that...i am damn glad :) Title: Re: OK..there is a method to my "Madness" Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 12, 2009, 02:04:54 AM That is an awesome purchase kirk!

Can you show us it's guts dude? :184- Let's take a look under the hood baby! "How It's Made" did an episode where you to get to see what I think is the reel version of this same machine being built.... Title: Re: OK..there is a method to my "Madness" Post by: KirkLasVegas on November 12, 2009, 02:23:03 AM from what I have learned so far...is that if you REMOVE the video monitor a shelf will go in there for REELS....the rest is the same.... it looks like a reel shelf would fit in that area....
Title: Re: OK..there is a method to my "Madness" Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 12, 2009, 02:25:31 AM Holy craps ...That is one sweet machine!
What's the manufacturing date of that puppy? 2006? Title: Re: OK..there is a method to my "Madness" Post by: KirkLasVegas on November 12, 2009, 02:36:47 AM Holy craps ...That is one sweet machine! What's the manufacturing date of that puppy? 2006? Somebody spent BIG bucks on this thing. But I saw many Harleys in there, showroom quality. You know what happens, people pawn the item and figure they will use the money to pay the car/house/exwife and when they get it back in a few weeks..they go get the item back. When they cant pony up the cash..it's gone. Fact is...we can ALL live without a Harley or slot machine. people are pawning some interesting stuff these days.Sometimes the pawnshop offers 20 cents on the dollar, not much more or they get stuck with the item. he had a 1200cc 2008 Harley Sportster in there with 5,000 miles on it. Looked brand new. he wanted $8500 for it. I can buy a new one for around $800 more....NOT a good deal. But a broken (he thought) slot machine...not worth much.... Title: Re: OK..there is a method to my "Madness" Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 12, 2009, 02:51:42 AM LOL...but what year is your Williams slot made? Not the Harley's... :72-

It's pretty clean inside, doesnt smell like smoke at all.No ticket printer and does accept nickels. It's got all Stage 1 engine mods (SE airbox, SEII exhaust, and rejetted), Progressive fork springs in the front, Progressive 440 shocks in the rear, and more extras, all service records available. All stock parts included. The only parts that have ever touched the pavement on this bike are the tires and the bottom of the kickstand, not a scratch on it. I saw the XR1200 at the dealership, it's calling my name! :185- Title: Re: OK..there is a method to my "Madness" Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 12, 2009, 01:49:15 PM "Progressive fork springs..., Progressive 440 shocks"
I could never really grasp that term correctly in my mind... Does that mean the hydraulic air shocks get progressively stiffer or looser? I have a Suzuki CR125 motorcross I totally rebuilt from top to bottom inside and out about 4 years ago. As long as you don't live in California... :60- Title: Re: OK..there is a method to my "Madness" Post by: brichter on November 12, 2009, 08:48:06 PM "Progressive fork springs..., Progressive 440 shocks" I could never really grasp that term correctly in my mind... Progressive springs are wound tighter in one section than another, the idea being that the first few inches of travel provide little resistance to compression(spring rate is low), then after it compresses that portion, the next portion provides more resistance to compression. In my case, Progressive is the manufacturer of the springs and shocks, and they are not progressive.
