Title: Re: Decal removing Post by: PWRSTROKE on November 12, 2009, 09:47:59 PM I used non-chlorinated brake cleaner. This was used only on the newer type igt glass. I Have not used this on any other type but that and would highly reccomend caution using on old glass etc. as it may not work. This worked well for me for the four I have done so far. B.

Title: Re: Decal removing Post by: PWRSTROKE on November 12, 2009, 10:06:43 PM Well, This is a trial and error techniqe. This has to be worked in between the glass and inner backing of decal. As the cleaner penetrates the glue use pressure on end to peel away. It is tedious and can take a while. Works superb on un-broken glass. If you get or have a sheet that has many cracks etc. it can be nerve wracking. Depending on size of glass one can will not do it. Of course which I am sure you are aware this should be done outside. What type of glass will your test piece be-?. A bondo spreader, credit-card, etc. aids in the removal process. Do not get the brake cleaner all over your skin It burns and especially your Eye Balls- Feels like it melts it out of your eye socket-I should know I deal with the mess daily- :5-. B.
Title: Re: Decal removing Post by: Frank A on November 12, 2009, 10:57:42 PM Try a hair dryer some time. A hot hair dryer removes bumper stickers and other stickers in a very short time. No chemicals and no fuss.
