Title: Trip Report
Post by: reho33 on November 15, 2009, 12:50:56 AM
Well I started out from Milford around 7:30 AM this morning headed to Bettor Slots to pick up my RWB S2000. Stopped in Buckhorn for breakfast.... about 1/2 hr later my wife is in a panic thinking that she lost her tennis bracelet. So I pull over on I-80, trucks barrel azzing down on me. She calls the Cracker Barrel to have them look when I see it between the seats. Emergency solved, we start again on our way. Stop in the hotel on OH 46 (Niles) and check in. Freshen up , then on to Mogadore, Get to Jim's about 3:10 in the afternoon, RWB is getting its final touches. Then  a quick test, and ready to pack up. Had the pleasure of meeting Slot Monkey at Jim's, had a nice conversation. The wife and I get engrossed in playing Jim's slots and then we load er' up. Off for Mexican food (very good, stuffed to the gills) then off the hotel. Tomorrow it's the long ride back to Milford and the un-loading. Nice weather along the way, even better tomorrow. I will take pics of the new additions on Sunday, the RWB and the Bally Pro Slot 6000. Worth every mile and if it was not for  NLG, I would not have met such nice people and been addicted to this hobby. Now I have to learn more so I can contribute to the overall site and help others. Thanks again Jim.

reho's poor, poor wife, she had to endure that.... :96-

She probably had one finger poised on the electric door window button... :72-

:95-  I am often amazed at the lengths people will travel in support of this hobby (addiction  :72-).

What Mr. Reho failed to mention is that this his Second trip.... two weekends in a row to pick up machines!!! The second trip inviting his wife to come play in the "gameroom" for awhile.  It was really nice to hang out with you both and play some machines as I don't have much time for that lately.  As it turned out another NLG member stopped by so we had a mini party.

I appreciated this effort to such an extent that I decided to surprise him by adding a complete Back-lit kit in his RWB...gratis.  My only regret  :25- is that I didn't have it completely installed when they arrived (you arrived 20 minutes early !!! LOL ) and had to ask them to wait a half hour while I adjusted the reels.  Thank you for your patience.

Have a safe trip home and I hope you will post some pics of your machines.

Jim

We all appreciate the extra care and time you put into these beautiful machines and they way you treat us when we go see you.
This is one of the may reasons why I can't say enough in how it's such a pleasure to do business with Bettorslots.
Traveling becomes almost no problem when you know you're going to end up with a fine product! :89-
Definitely one of the best slot guys I've ever dealt with! :3-

   Hey,
I just got back from a trip spending the day at the Casino with one of NLG's members I had not yet met and as always had the pleasure of great hospitality and conversation.
STORMRIDER was a great host and kept me and another friend well fed with chicken wings and beer  :9- :134- :140- :154- :198- :151-  and we also had the opportunity of checking out his progress with the ELO Touch screen so many of us have purchased.
He went the "juke box" route and I was impressed with the results.  :3- .  I can't Wait to get my project into full swing as I have purchased 4 of them!  :89-
On another note I was also I had the opportunity to check out some machines received through BettorSlots and was VERY Impressed with the quality and detail put into these machines.  Good karma to Jim at BettorSlots   :82- and please keep up the great work !.   :3- QUALITY and not quantity appears to be the main theme here !  :89- :89- :89-

A last note... LOST my Butt at the Casino we went to...  I spent a little more than a few hundred   :56- :148- and received N O T H I N G back  AT ALL :8-
Oh well, I guess everone has a bad streak once in a great while.  :18-

Thor777,

I had a great time as well meeting you and Mark, Yeah I must say we didn't fair to well at the casino
but the Drinks were good Huh !!! :151-  I showed Thor777 a small part of the casino in the back where
the high limit slots are and sure enough 1 guy was standing at a $100 slot waiting to get paid $6000
that was good for a chuckle I then showed him the quick hit progressive2 credit $1 section which is the place to be
and of course 2 people won a $1000 each but we didn't fair to well on them so we moved along to other parts of the casino
until nobody was having any luck and losing :56- :56- I decided to invite him over to my place since I live 10 minutes away.

I showed him my slot collection starting with one of the first  S+ I ever bought and some of my S6000
He really liked my only S2000 SLANT everybody has to have 1 Right  :96- anyway he was impressed with
2 of my S2000's in which I bought from Bettor Slots fully backlit and like new chrome in a maple cab just perfect.
I see him taking a drive down that way soon BTW

So being it was 9pm what else was left to do other then order a nice Bucket of Hot chicken wings
to wash that beer down with LOL. I had a blast really was nice to chat with someone with same interests
as me slots, ham radio, electronics, and what not, look forward to the next time we meet up at the casino.

Tim

reho33,

I had a good time at bettor slots, and enjoyed talking to you and your wife.

The red, white and blue that you purchased was one sweet and clean machine.

I'll be watching for pics.

I will post pics tgomorrow.... my friend who help me get the game down the stairs would have stayed all night if I didn't kick him out. Man, he got hooked in seconds!
Believe it or not, my wife really did think that she lost her tennis bracelet, she would have made me drive back 50 miles to get it. Lucky that we found it when we did. OK off to bed......night night.

As reho33 has found out about Jim (Bettor Slots) his machines are top notch
his attention to detail is unsurpassed before I found NLG I bought a few slots from the
internet and ebay sellers what a mistake between broken machines bad chrome and what not
I had to start learning how to fix them with no help from the seller's and thank god I found NLG
that's when my passion grew for slots,so the next time I was ready to buy a machine I pretty much knew
it had to be everything I wanted and a theme I wanted not what a vendor only had in stock.
I met Bettor Slots about a year ago here off NLG I spoke to him pm,email, phone, about a Triple Double Stars that I wanted
as the wife and I always played it at the local casino not only did he come through the machine was super clean
backlit, multi demon, printer with my own message, the works, and met me half way so I didn't have to drive the whole way.
That machine is posted on his site under past clients.Last month I met Jim again to pick up 2 machines and I see he has been
very busy selling machines word must be getting out, this time I wanted a loaded up IGT S2000 Double3x4x5 pay and what a beauty it is
Jim even installed new led's and legends at no extra charge in fact he never told me as we talked for over an hour after loading the machines ,I found out when I got home with it and unwrapped the machine, when he shops a machine its that and some. The led's and new legends make a world of difference plus backlit reels
as Thor777 was looking and playing the machine he even said wow it looks great Jim did all that before he sold you the machine.
I know Bettor Slots even has a  layaway plan too how great is that and willing to drive to meet you plus load the machine
he is a credit to the site and goes the extra mile, one last note last time we met he gave me a box of parts too loaded with goodies
I know sometimes he parts a machine or two just to make sure 1 is working correct and looking it's best.
Hats off to Bettor Slots and NLG.    Tim

My last Purchase from Jim
3 credit multi demon Double3x4x5 pay
Backlit,bv,printer,roundtop,maple cab

Due to the fact my machines are close together I can't show the quality of the maple cab
but it's a real beauty I love this machine.
