Title: An Honest NLG Member Post by: Bettor Slots on November 16, 2009, 02:17:50 AM You know I was on the phone this morning with another vendor just BS'ing about this and that. We both had a small chuckle about the fact that when finishing shopping out a machine that often times we forget to check the cash can before the machine goes out since we always send a bill or two through to test every thing. I am pretty sure that many of my machines came with a free $20 bill...LOL... :148- :25- :25- :25-
Anyway...a machine that went out with Reho33, I shrink wrapped it as usual and as we rolling it out the door I said "oh crap....pretty sure I left at least a twenty in there". I really didn't want to take off the shrink so we agreed he would just tell me what he found. So he just emailed me and said sure enough, he said "found the money". Now he could have easily said $20 and I would have believed it....but nope....there was $110 in there. Hats off and thanks to Reho for his honesty. If any of you bump into his posts...pass him a K+ because he deserves it. I never had the pleasure of talking to him on the phone but there'll be a time for that... You're one of the good guys reho! :3- Title: Re: An Honest NLG Member Post by: tjkeller on November 16, 2009, 10:35:24 AM :3- :3- :3- :3- :3- K+ to him for the honesty! Lets face it, there are consequences to all actions , good and bad. I sure a heck would not want bad repercussions. I am just doing what any one else on here would do if they were in the same position. It is Jims hard earned money, he gets it back, period. Thanks for the k's though. But now I know why some vendors will not sell a machine with a bill validator in it...........it does make it easier to add credits to a machine though if you have one.

LOL Title: Re: An Honest NLG Member Post by: KirkLasVegas on November 16, 2009, 11:50:49 PM Well...I have to say something about that. Karma reins supreme here. This is a small community and you really get to know one another.
I recently asked where to buy some barrel locks on here. One of our local vendors offered a VERY nice price on them. I personally called him AFTER BUSINESS HOURS and on a SUNDAY (talk about service) to place the order. Not but a few hours later *ANOTHER* one of our vendors steps up to the plate and offers a even BETTER deal.(1 dollar less per lock for a saving of $20 on the order). Vendor(see new friend) sees this offer and says it's OK to back out of that deal to go with vendor (see friend #2) if I want to save money. My answer.... The order stands. While money is money,honor/integrity/class/word of mouth are much more important. This person went out of his way to help me, he didnt have to do that, this parts order wasnt a "killer" order and I'm damn glad he helped me out.For me to back out for $20 would really show that Karma wasnt important to me that "Material" stuff was... Not the case here. Thanks to our vendors!!! Kirk (climbing down off of slot stand) Title: Re: An Honest NLG Member Post by: Neonkiss on November 16, 2009, 11:52:24 PM K+ :3- :3- :3- ... First machine I bought (10+yrs ago) He left a 20 in it and when I called him and told him...I offered to send it or Paypal it and he said keep it for being honest. I have bought many things from the members here and everone has been more than fair and honest. As Kirk said. I have never sold anything here, however, I've sent people 8 liner boards (even pd shipping :) )for free. But, I've been sent stuff I needed for free also(not the same people). Now,to quote Kirk " Well...I have to say something about that. Karma reins supreme here. This is a small community and you really get to know one another" Title: Re: An Honest NLG Member Post by: StatFreak on December 08, 2009, 09:44:18 AM This was one of the threads that I missed during my recent trips to Bullhead City/Laughlin to help Joey move.
So, Randy, thanks for posting and reactivating the thread, :71- and reho33, kudos for your honesty. :3- NLG K+'s to you, although life karma means much more. :89- SF :31- Title: Re: An Honest NLG Member Post by: reho33 on December 08, 2009, 12:25:06 PM Thanks to all who "karma-ed" me. Again, I am nobody special, I really think that Jim would want his 120 dollars back so I just returned it. His machines are priced so they are a "steal" anyway.
