Title: S2000 in a S+?
Post by: stayouttadabunker on October 07, 2008, 01:05:51 AM
Do S2000 glass, chips,etc.... fit in a S+?
Are both platforms interchangeable somewhat?
I never had an S2000, I wanted to see which (if any) S2000 games work well in a S+.
My understanding so far is that the only real dfference between the two is that the S2000 came with printers
and backlighting capabilities.
Am I way off base here?

I have been led to believe that a S+ game will indeed work in a S2000 but not the other way around... :103-

Well how about it experts?  :31-

Hello!

Yes, S+ games will work and fit in a S2000 if you have a compitable S2000 base chip installed.

Generally speaking, S2000 games will not work in a S+.

BUT...

There are some S2000 games where you can use the S2000 glass and reel strips and use a compatible S+ reel chip  - some of the S2000 games use the same paytable as a S+ game.  There is a post with a list of what games are known about that this can be done with http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=120.0 (http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=120.0).

S2000 chips will not work in a S+
S2000 has better sound, backlit reels, multi-denomination, optional printer, and best of all better games.  S2000 can be converted to vision, 4 reel or 5 reel.
