Title: Bally S6000 20 Error Post by: reho33 on November 19, 2009, 03:01:23 AM I just got all the pieces to make this slot coin again. The hopper actually pays out and all is well. The comparitor is a CC-16D and lights up properly when installed. However a 20 error appears and won't go away unless I disable the comparitor. I took the comparitor and placed it in my S+ and it works ok. I measured voltages and I get the proper volts off the harness where they need to go. I have done a safe ram clear and same result. I would like some direction please as I am still learning this stuff. Thanks. The 20 error is "Coin Optics Blocked too Long"(?)

The coin optic block is below the coin comparitor and has the optic board attached with 2 screws, you should disassemble this, clean the block and the prism of any blockage. Sometimes this can be a small bit of paper, and the easy route would be to use a can of air and blow it out, although easy isn't always best. Thanks, Wayne Title: Re: Bally S6000 20 Error Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 19, 2009, 04:02:19 AM Yes, I agree...the pressurized air cans just blow stuff further INTO the machine and
into places you don't want the stuff to go to...LOL Furthermore, if they're tilted the wrong way, out comes mist... alcohol-based or not....water and electronics DO NOT mix! The parts you clean with any liquid MUST be fully dried up before applying any power source. Title: Re: Bally S6000 20 Error Post by: reho33 on November 19, 2009, 04:37:54 PM Munch, have you tried to remove the jumper blocks off the DS areas yet?
Title: Re: Bally S6000 20 Error Post by: reho33 on November 20, 2009, 02:23:14 PM Well I found out why the error is there "THERE ARE NO COIN OPTICS INSTALLED IN THE MACHINE!!!!!!" just a stupid plastic block. So now I need to find that part to install.

Title: Re: Bally S6000 20 Error Post by: jdkmunch on November 21, 2009, 01:01:27 AM Munch, have you tried to remove the jumper blocks off the DS areas yet? What do you mean DS? I can pop the jumper blocks off the MPU. I have a board with the same plugs (non jumpers) as you Title: Re: Bally S6000 20 Error Post by: jdkmunch on November 21, 2009, 01:06:11 AM DS = Dip Switches
Yes They come right off - I just need the actual jumper blocks Title: Re: Bally S6000 20 Error Post by: reho33 on November 21, 2009, 11:34:48 PM The machine was TITO but I wanted to put it back to coin. So I got all the parts and the coin head is the last thing I am waiting for. But I need the optics, they are missing. GTA Slots, do you have these?
Title: Re: Bally S6000 20 Error Post by: a69mopar on November 22, 2009, 01:24:09 AM You would be better to get them from a U.S. vendor, I'm in Canada. I believe Jim at Blueridge has some of these but not positive.
Thanks, Wayne |
