Title: Jcm 145 Post by: mkd3b on November 21, 2009, 05:31:27 PM My BV doesnt want to take bills that have been folded in Half. Is there an Adjustment or a worn Part possibly causing this . Usually spits the bill back out but evnually jams inside the head. Is it more liklly to be the head or the stacker that is causing the problem.. Thanks for any info

(I like adding a little salt... :96-) Play with them, wiggle them around and re-install them into the DBV. The belts sort of get "New Life" into them and now will grab bills that used the be crumpled up like bubble gum wrappers and pulls them right into the machine like a Big Top barker grabbing your neck with a crooked cane! :89- Title: Re: Jcm 145 Post by: mkd3b on November 21, 2009, 05:49:58 PM Simple to get at the belts or a bit of work?
Title: Re: Jcm 145 Post by: stayouttadabunker on November 21, 2009, 06:34:14 PM Depends on how you look at it...
If you like tinkering slot machines - then it's a pleasure to do! If you know nothing about them, then it's work... I'd place an ad up int the "Classified" section of NLG for a newer type DBV200 and I'm sure one of our esteemed vendors would be happy to sell you one!. Trying to clean dirty belts with alcohol-based stuff will eventually "melt" the belts into a pulp. They work good for a little while, but because you put alcohol on them the first time, they "melted" a little. So, the next few times you run dirty money through the DBV, the belts only get dirtier faster and you have the same problem over and over until it doesn't take even brand new bills. Are you handy? Can you take apart electronics and tiny little screws and put it all together again without pulling your hair out? If so, go ahead and dis-assemble the DBV and clean the belts with Q-tips and hot water. I personally love bringing the belts up to a good boil then re-install the unit complete with no extra crews and bolts laying around and you oughta be back in business. If not, you can still place an ad... Title: Re: Jcm 145 Post by: mkd3b on November 21, 2009, 06:57:33 PM Well arighty then that settles it I love to tinker and rip stuff apart So Ill give it a go. If I manage to screw things Up I guess I can just get another one And maybe even an Upgrade
