Title: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: MarkInAz on November 24, 2009, 02:52:08 AM IGT option numbers I know, but this Bally 5000 Plus is not my friend...yet. I sure could use a little help deciphering the different options numbers that I can access with the MPU push buttons. It would be nice to find some 5000 Plus info in the New File area too (hint hint) Is the Pro 5500 a close match for the 5000 plus with regards to options and settings?
Cheers- Mark Title: Re: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: StatFreak on November 24, 2009, 04:44:04 AM IGT option numbers I know, but this Bally 5000 Plus is not my friend...yet. Cheers- Mark The 5000-Plus is quite different from the 5500. Have you checked the New File area for some 5000 Plus info (hint hint)? :129- :129- Title: Re: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: MarkInAz on November 24, 2009, 01:32:35 PM Oh darn, I'm talking about a 5000 Plus reel slot not the video machine. Title: Re: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: mctuerk on January 02, 2011, 07:49:51 AM Command #79 should be a NJ ?? clear saferam, but password is required – what`s the password and what`s the meaning of NJ??
Title: Re: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: MarkInAz on January 02, 2011, 03:40:01 PM Hmm, I dont see a command 79 in my 5000 PLUS manual.
Title: Re: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: mctuerk on January 02, 2011, 07:39:51 PM Hi Mark,
not the error codes - what i mean are the keypad commands i can`t clear that ram because the creditmeter always shows credits it`s not to clear the same way as a 5000 or 5500 Title: Re: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: StatFreak on January 03, 2011, 07:25:24 AM mctuerk, I think you meant to name those files 5000plus, not 5500plus.
It looks like NJ refers to New Jersey. Title: Re: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: junkman on January 03, 2011, 09:48:34 AM Thanks for the manual.
Title: Re: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: MarkInAz on January 05, 2011, 04:06:31 PM Yup, I'd agree, probably New Jersey. Now I'm sure the next question would be how to get the password or how to get around the whole issue. I'd think maybe if you replaced the mains/EPROMS to a non-NJ version. But I don't know off hand what you would need.
Good luck, Mark Title: Re: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: mctuerk on January 09, 2011, 08:45:25 PM This damned dutch (not New Jersey) machine drives me crazy. It always starts with a 4.5 error. After pressing the reset button it works. All tests are good. I put the mpu board in a working machine but the 4.5 remains. My keypad settings to non credit game always change automatically to credit game when i start the machine again. With the 4.5 at start it is impossible to clear the ram. Or is there a way i don’t know...
Title: Re: 5000 Plus - Options list Post by: MarkInAz on January 11, 2011, 02:34:28 PM Setting the options is a little tricky. I fought with the procedure in the book, could not get it to take. Finally I found the answer. When setting the new option you have to enter the whole string of numbers. For example Credit Option 27, 0 is non-credit, 1 is standard credit, and so forth. Entering "27 Enter" on the keypad only shows you the current setting: 00, or 01, etc. You cant change it yet. To change it you need to enter the whole string of numbers: "2701 Enter" Once I did it this way all the new options would take. Also, I believe you need to get all the way out before you go back in to double check the new setting.
