Title: Merit "Dakota Superstar" Code 4 problem Post by: stayouttadabunker on October 07, 2008, 02:49:15 PM Hi,
I'm trying to fix a 1989 Merit "Dakota Superstar" video pull tab machine. I'm getting a "Temporarily Out Of Service" message on the screen. This is what I was able to find out about it>>> Logic board: 03133125 Program ID: 6730-00-REV B 081491 10MHz on the main PCB it says: CRT-300 REV A 1989 Merit Industries Inc. There's a small PCB board with two 28-pin EEproms that have a label : 6730-00 U1-0B C1991 M11 the other label is: 6730-00 U2-0B C1991 M11 There are 3 more 28-pin EEproms on the main PCB that have labels: 1) U46 PTB1/U46/C1991 2) U47/ PTB1/U47/C1991 3) U48/PTB1/U48/C1991 I was wondering if anyone knew what this other message might mean and how to fix: "TOD Clock Failure" however, that message went away and the "Temporarily Out Of Service" message came back. I need any information on resetting the machine, set up, etc. Maybe someone knows somebody that worked at Merit on repairing these things? :89- I appreciate any help anyone can give me! -mark |
