Title: Convert S+ to freeplay Post by: Yoeddy1 on November 25, 2009, 04:10:18 AM Just out of curiosity, if I wanted to convert an IGT S or S+ into a credit only/free play machine, how is this done?

Next use your set chip to change the machine to a 1c denomination, followed by running a large note bill through the validator. Ie a 20 will now add 2000 credits so if you do this 4 times you are up to 8000 credits whcih is close enough as you want some room for additional credits to go to the meter. Next pull the wire on your cash/credit button - this will force the machine to remain on credits, and pull the cashout button - which will stop someone from cashing out. When you play - all wins go to the credit meter, and there is no way to cash out remaining credits since the buttons are disabled. In a worst case scenerio the top award is hit, you go into a hand pay situation, and have to use the reset key which will wipe the credts off the machine and then you need to run a couple of 20's through it again. Jay, I do not remember for sure, but I do not think the key flick will wipe ALL of the credits.... I think that the jackpot amount will be wiped off, but the initial credits will still be there? Or it may pay part of the award up to the credit limit, and the rest would be handpay which will disappear with the rest key turn. I am sure that someone will chime in with the absolute exacts, and this could also vary by what Game Chips are installed as well. I may be wrong, never win that many credits!!! :25- :8- :97- :97- :97- CH :95- Title: Re: Convert S+ to freeplay Post by: jay on November 25, 2009, 10:09:36 PM irrespective - its worst case that you might have to cycle some 20's through to add the credits again..... no biggie.
