Title: Sigma Manuals SG50/SG32/ SG150
Post by: Jim on November 30, 2009, 03:50:10 PM
clown2948/icu44444/gordy/pinball paul/ kmjm:

I compared my SG50 manual to the manual posted in the "submit file section" page for page  it is the same with the exception of a few pages that only apply to some display codes pertaining to 9 line operation. the SG/50 is a wide body machine, the SG/32 is the narrow body machine, the SG/150 uses a #340023 revA1 board, I saw that same board used in a SG/32, the main difference I noticed was that the piggyback board that was used on the original SG/32 board was incorporated into the board layout of the 340023 board, and a adapter harness from the piggyback to the plug on the logic board. So for those of you looking for info on your machine, as far as resets, meaning of errors and to clear errors etc. Get the manual that is in the file section. Should answer alot of your questions and concerns.

Hope this helps

Jim

Thanks Jim, I love the 150 and 300's . I actually swithed a 300 (Smokin 7's) to a 50 (Double Cherries) . Never meesed with the 50 before, but I know about the piggyback on the boards now :)

Where is the "submit file" section in this forum?  I looked under submit a new file and the manuals were not there.  I am new to this forum so please be specific as to how to get to the manuals.   :103-

Thanks

That was it. Files are uploaded there by members from their personal collections in response to specific member requests, and are then purged at regular intervals. We do not have a permanent repository of files. If there is a specific manual that you are in need of, please post a request and hopefully, one of our members will have a copy to share with you.

The manual to which Jim was referring that can be used for the SG-50 was the SG-150, with the addition of two pages of schematics for the SG-50 board that might prove useful.

The three files that you need have all mysteriously appeared in the Submit section.  :96- :72- They are:

- Sigma_SG_150B_manual.pdf
- SIGMA_50-310049.sch..pdf
- SIGMA_50B-310048.sch.pdf

Enjoy. :31-

Hello. I just picked up a SG-50b Sigma Double Cherries machine last week for $50. It has a mind of it's own. I'm getting a couple of different error codes on the display when the game is playing. Does anyone have info on error codes for this machine? 0Q and 0P I believe are the two error codes I'm getting. I'll just be playing the machine and then it just locks up. The red LED display goes blank and the unit where you put in dollars bills starts turning off and on. If I open and close the door a bunch of times it will start working again and remembers where I left off. Really nice machine and need some help on getting it fixed. Thanks

Mike

Sorry I don't know anything about a Sigma SG-50b. Guessing at one of the codes OP I
might mean OP 1 (Overpaid by 1 coin) If that would be the case check your knife and
microswitch for correct adjustment.

If you did...

If it was is this one it was missing the MPU board. He bought a used MPU board from a guy that said he was not sure if the MPU board was good and the Chip set on the

MPU board could be diffrent and was not sure if it would work.

OPT 1 WRONG= ONE OF THE COIN DETECTED OPTICAL CIRCUITS IS BROKEN OR DIRTY.
ONE OF THE TWO COIN OPTICS.

OPT 2= IS THE SECOND COIN OPTIC.

OPT 12= MALFUCTION HAS BEEN DETECTED FOR BOTH OPTICS.

OPT 3= THE DROP OPTICS REPLACE OR CLEAN SENSOR. CHECK SENSOR WIRE.

Yeah I bought it off a guy on Craigslist here in Lake Havasu City, AZ.  I was playing it the other night and it worked for hours. The next day I was having alot of problems with it and the error codes were being displayed. What does MPU stand for? Also the coin comparitor isn't working. If you drop in a nickel it just stops at the top of the coin comparitor and doesn't move any further. I think I'm going to take it in to a tech here in Havasu and have some that knows these things better than I. Thanks everyone for the responses.

I'll bet apples are oranges that you don't have a sample coin in the comparator.

Interesting. Is there supposed to be one in there? I'm new at this.

I'm certain that it doesn't have the sample coin in it. I'll put one in when I get back from my vacation. Maybe that will solve alot of problems, We'll see.

It seems that the manuals have once again been purged from the download area.  Could you upload again the manual for SG-50?  Any idea if they applies as well to an SG-50B?  Mine is a B, but I assume that's just a slight revision from the 50.  I just inherited it and need to iron out some kinks.
